"No, I'm not. My mommy's over there." Heise answered with a cute little shake of his head and pointed Adira.

Melissa turned her head towards the direction the adorable child was pointing at but only saw Adira. So she looked past her and strained her eyes more to find his mother and maybe help him back to her.

"Oh dear. I cannot see her. Is she really over there?"

"Yes. She's standing there. Where are you looking at, big sister?"

"Really? Where?"

Melissa tried really hard to find this woman he was speaking of when she found a nicely dressed lady wearing a white A-line dress with blue ribbons under a white umbrella standing in front of the fruit stand that was barely visible from the shop they were in.

Melissa beamed after finally finding the lady and turned back to him.

"Oh! Is she the pretty lady with the white dress and blue ribbons? Is she buying you a fruit? That is so nice."

After being looked on with a confused expression and an arched brow from this adorable kid, someone cleared their throat from behind her and that was when she realized she had forgotten that Adira was still there.

"Oh dear! Forgive me, my Lady! I-It slipped my mind that you were still here! Please forgive this clumsy me!

"Calm down, Lady Niveria. Actually, I am that child's mother."

Adira informed her that made the poor noble lady stop in her mind tracks. This new information was too out there that it practically felt like she was listening to an alien language.

"Eh? What?"

Melissa was too shocked to even utter another word as she wordlessly turned to Heise and pointed at Adira with an inquisitive gaze—to which the child happily nodded his head in confirmation.

"W-Who is the father, Lady Sylveris? Is it the prince? Or no... Could it be you got together with Lord Dalriada indeed? There was that rumor that he took you away after all.

No, it couldn't be. No. I mean, how could that demon allow it, right? However, I also think that the prince is the type to let you go if that is what you want. But, but—"

"Lady Niveria, Heise is my and his highness', Prince Casimir's, child. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't associate my name with that person. Else, my husband would not like it and he gets scary when he's jealous."

Adira said with a smile while fluidly pitching in her marital status and how she hated hearing her name being linked to Triton.

Actually, it never even crossed her mind that there would come a day when just hearing Triton's name would make her feel nauseous.

She had indeed come a long way from her past self who only knew and cared about this particular lord.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I see, of course, your husband will get mad. Wait... Your husband?!"

"Yes, I married his highness in secret so in exchange for me keeping your secret, you need to keep mine as well. Isn't that a fair exchange?"

Adira winked and Melissa blushed at realizing that maybe Adira noticed how she had been very ashamed of asking her to keep this secret life of hers outside their manor's gates.

She beamed happily and nodded her head enthusiastically at Adira's suggestion. Truly, the Lady Sylveris—No—the Princess Adira was a good and kind soul to each and every individual alike.

Even after all these time, she could not see the demoness a fraction of the nobles—like the Lady Latifolia—sees. She could not see the villainess they painted her to be.
