It's Okay (Reader x Ruby)

First Encounter

3rd POV

Ruby walks in her dorm, still in thought of what exactly does she need to know. Yang interrupting her thoughts,

Yang: "Hey Ruby, something one your mind?"

Ruby: "N-nope, not anyone or anything!"

Yang smirks as she makes a wild guess

Yang: "Oh come on, just tell me. I might be able to help you out. Plus, we're sisters, we stick together, so what's up?"

Ruby sighs,

Ruby: "Okay, it's this guy I bum-"

Yang: "Oooooooh you met a guy, what's his name? Is he cute? Have any hobbies? Does he have a nice bo-"

Ruby threw a pillow before she could finish, having a blush on her face.

Ruby: "Shut up! I only just met him. He seemed so... mysterious, but depressed. Like he has never felt care and happiness."

Yang: "Hmmm... interesting. Did you get his name?"

Ruby: "I tried asking, but he just said that it'd be better if I didn't. He pushed away, hiding something big, and I want to know."

Yang: "Have any clue why he's like that?"

She looked down slightly
Ruby: "I was told by someone that he has done some terrible things, like sexual harassment and worse things..."

Yang's eyes wide a bit, surprised.
Yang: "Now that's a red flag, maybe you should keep your distance from hi-"

Ruby: "No! Because it doesn't make sense. If he really did do that, then why is he still here?"

'I remember looking into his (e/c) eyes, they were full of pain, loneliness, depression. And no one should have that!'

Yang: "Soo... what are you gonna do?"

Ruby: "I'm first going to find out about him, see who he really is and understand him, then once I do, I'll try to help him the best to my ability."

Yang has the biggest smirk on her face.

Ruby: "What?"

Yang: "Oh nothing, it's just... I've never seen you so obsessed over some guy you met that day. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you have a crush on him. Oh my baby sister had a love at first sight!"

Yang gets another pillow thrown to her face, by a blushing Ruby.

Ruby: "Yang! Shut up!"

Then they just have a small pillow throwing fight, with Yang wining, as usual. They're laughing, enjoying being sisters.  Then their dorm opens up seeing Weiss and Blake enter the room.

Blake: "Hey Ruby, Yang. What did we miss?"

Yang: "Oh my Oum, you won't believe it! Ruby has a cr-"

Ruby used her semblance to cover her mouth, surprisingly at her top speed.

Ruby: "Heheh, there's no need to talk about that, it's only nothing."

Yang rips her off throwing her to Blake's bed before shouting as fast as possible,

Yang: "Rubyhasacrushonsomeone!"

Somehow, they were able to understand, not exactly making it a big deal, but they were a little curious. (Make time faster, they ask and they both had that same feeling as Yang, a little... unsure, but will support still.)

Meanwhile Y/N POV

I felt a little bad that I had to leave her, but that didn't matter. She'll soon be like everyone else and there will only be me, myself, and I. The only thing that possibly keeps me going is... nothing. I only came to realize that I have nothing to live for, no one to love, no one to be loved, no purpose, just a waste of space. I've started to have thoughts of just disappearing. It's not like anyone would miss me, not even my family. 'Why am I here? Why do I live? Why. Am. I. Still. Alive?" I just started to run. I didn't know where I was going, didn't care, I just want to go forward...
