veronica was excited. odly, excited. when she texted me to meet up at pops i thought it would just be a normal, everyday meetup like we normally has. like whern she rants about how much her 3 year old daughter cries all the time, and i rant about how much i miss jug. he joined the army a few years back, and i've scarcely seen him. we don't even know when we're having our wedding, seeing as we've been engaged for almost 2 years, but he's been away for so long we have never been able to plan it. this wasn't one of the times where v wanted me to rant, it was a time where she was planning something, something big. she's been my best friend since we were 16, so im preeeetty sure i know when she's planning something. after a quick coffee, she dragged me to the limo and sat in the back with me while andre drove us to wherever v was taking me. "so b, i have a special surprise planned today, but we need to make a few stops first. number one on the list, the twilight drive in is opening tonight, for a one night showing of rebel without a cause. and i thought i'd take you, but we obviously need to get ready first. so our first stop is the mall." i smiled as we had a little chat while we made our way to our first destination

i didn't really know what to get. v said she had to go make a phonecall, and for me to choose an outfit that she would get for me. i looked through h&m until i found something i liked. it was a white halter dress that came with a matching pair of boots and a butterfly hair clip, not the cheap ones you would get as a kid, but an acual nice hair clip. i thought they looked cute together, and i tried to sneakily buy them but veronica caught me, and insisted she bought the outfit for me. after that, we went to the hair salon. i didn't know why v was making such a bug deal about going to the movies, we do it all the time. the hair stylist curled my hair and trimmed it just a little. i was used to having my hair in a tight ponytail, but if this day was so important to v, i would put up with it for today, and besides, i actually liked it.

back at veeeeronica's house
btw she's married to archie and they have a 3 year old daughter named harper

i stepped into v's house and was greeted by her daughter harper. "auntie bee auntie bee!" she said, running up to me and hugging my knees. i smiled and crouched down to her level. "hey harp. whats up?"
"are you excited to see uncle ju-" she was cut off by arch picking her up she tickling her, causing her to laugh. "remember, you can't tell auntie bee about the buig surprise." he whispered to her. harper nodded and archie put her down. she waved to me and skipped off to her room to play with her dolls. archie and i said our hellos before veronica pulled me into her massive bedroom. "ok, change into your dress and i'll start your makeup." she said before going into her closet. i changed into my new outfit and put on the boots. i clipped the butterfly into my hair as veronica walked out with the world largest supplty of makeup i've ever seen." she turned my face to her and started working her magic. she didn't add too much, just enough to glam me up a little. it was very natural, and i liked it. but i still didn't know why i was getting so dressed up for a movie, but i wasn't gonna question her. after we were all done, she picked up harper and brought her to the car where archie was waiting. i guess we were all going to the movies. the car ride was fun, but i can tell that they're hiding something, and i was gonna find out what

there were a lot of people here. i recognized a few, but not too many. we sat with kevin, cheryl, and toni in kevins massive truck that could fit all of us. whatever v, arch, and harper jad been hiding from me, kev, cher, and toni knew about it too. i ignored it and just watched the movie, enjoying the drive in while i can

at the end of the movie, i noticed veronica wasn't there, but everyone seemed way more excited. kevin looked like he was going to e x p l o d e. i didn'y know what was happening, and suddenly i heard veronica's voice through a micrphone. i looked around and saw her in front of the screen. she looked at me and smiled. "hello, everyone, i would like to thank you all for coming tonight, and thank you to my parents who had the drive in open up tonight, as tonight is a very special night. now my best friend is here, betty, and i would like her to come up here for a moment. so everybody give a warm welcome to ms betty cooper!" a few people clapped as i made my way up to where v was. i was honestly so confused. what was happening? i got up there and saw that ronnie was smiling wider than i've ever seen her smile before. "so, i'm sure a lot of you are wondering why she's up here. betty is probably wondering the same thing, and there is a reason for that. a special reason. now for those who don't know, betty has a fiance, jughead, and they haven't seen each other in over a year, so we decided to bring in a special guest tonight." i was more confused then ever, and suddenly someone's hands covered my face. "guess whoOOOoo-" an all too familliar voice spoke. "juggie-" i said softly. tears welled in my eyes as i turned to face him. "did you miss me cooper?" he asked with the jUghEaD sMirK™. i don't remember what happened after that (hi i'm sophia from i'm too lazy to go into the detail, and you're reading shit oneshots), but i know that there was a lot of hugging and kissing and crying, all the things. after the crowd had stopped cheering and i stopped squeaxing jug, the questions came. "when did you get here? how long will you be here for? did everyone know? how did-" juGgIE interrupted me in the middle of the next question. "betts, lets just say i'll be here for a verrrrryy long time. long enough for us to get married and have 3 kids and a dog like you always imagined, and long enough for us to restart the movie and rewatch it together." i smiled and kIssEd HiM uwU. after a while, veronica interrupted us. "there will be plenty of time for that later ( ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )but we wanna watch the movie, so go get your snacks or whatever and come sit with us so we can continue jug's welcome home party/betty's surprise party." and with that, she walked over to harper and archie. we went and got our s n a c c s and returned to our friends as the movie was starting again. i leaned my head on jug's shoulder and threw a piece of popcorn in my mouth as we watched the movie. about halfway through, i heard light snoring next to me. i turned to see that everyone except for harper had fallen asleep. i smiled to myself as she crawled over and sat on my lap. "did you like your surprise auntie bee?" she asked, with her cute little innocent smile. "i loved my surprise harp. did you help plan it?" i asked her and booped her nose. she nodded her head and curled into a little ball on my lap. "i tired. i sleep now." i nodded my head and covered her with a blanket i had, before watching the rest of the movie by myself. towards the end, i started to doze off, until i was fast asleep, in the back of kevin's truck, with my best friends, and my fiance. life was pretty g o o d

ok i dont rlly like this but that might be because it's 1:03am and i dont even remember what year it is tbh
so yeah this has never happened to me but i wish it would because then i would be so cool and quirky and it'd be it tbh
