Jaylani got so overwhelmed that she passed out for two minutes. When she woke up Craig, Coolie, Stokeley, and Jahseh were standing over her.
Jaylani POV:
I woke up in my bed drenched in sweat, it was weird because the room was cold, I then realized Jahseh was staring at me while the others hadn't noticed I'd woken up yet. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom closing and locking the door. I put my back to the door holding my weight against it just because I was paranoid. I then heard a soft knock followed with "hey, are you okay?" It was Jahseh. Shivers went down my back, and butterflies formed in my stomach. I-I'll be out in a minute, I said. I then heard the sound of his Black air force ones on the wood floor meaning he walked away.
When I came out of the bathroom 5 minutes later no one was there except Stokeley was sitting on my bed on his phone. Where did everyone go? I asked, "they left, what did you like the company?" Um, I don't know, they seem nice. But that Jahseh kid he seems... I don't know. "Weird?" he asked. Precisely, I added. Oh, well he is our neighbor he's also my best friend and will be here a lot, he said. Is that okay? He added. Um yeah, I don't have a problem with that. I said I didn't mind being around Jahseh I just got this feeling not necessarily a bad feeling, it was really odd, my cheeks would heat up, my heart would skip a beat, shivers went down my spine when he talked, and he gave me butterflies. I got lost in my thought until Stoke said: "We're getting you registered for school tomorrow and you can go on monday." I never really "hated" school I got good grades even though I slept in all my classes I'd just do the school work at Mariah's house. I then replied with a soft "okay"
As soon as I laid down and shut my eyes Stokeley started shaking me "wake up we're going shopping" I said okay and hopped in the shower and asked Stokeley if I could borrow a t-shirt and basketball shorts. He agreed. He actually found some clothes that girls had left and I just put them on.
