My eyes open slowly as my teeth chatter from coldness.

While trying to lift my head upwards, I let out a groan of pain. My body feels numb from the cold air as if I was thrown onto the snow from a distance.

I dart my eyes from side to side, looking around to see where I was.

There was snow, everywhere. I laid in a blanket of cold, white silk, lost in my own thoughts.

Where am I?

Where's the princess?

Where did Agil banish me to?

Somehow I gather the strength to lift my body off the cold ground while wincing, thinking of one thing, which was finding a way to get back to Tokrabah and rescue the princess from Agil.

I must return to princess Asuna. There's gotta be a way to find her.

I look towards my shoulder where I expected my pet monkey Eugeo to be.

Upon realizing Eugeo was missing, while my teeth chitter and eyes widen, I pace around the snow, urgently looking for Eugeo.

I cannot lose Eugeo, he's my best friend. Eugeo and I have been through so much together. Since I found him when he was a little monkey on the street, we've developed an unbreakable bond, almost like we were brothers.

My voice echos in the mountains as I yell Eugeo's name from the top of my lungs as many times as the cold air on my blue, frail, frozen lips would let me.

"Eugeo!, Eugeo, where are you?!"

I continue trudging in the snow, looking for my pet.

"Eugeo!"

Without noticing a frozen block of snow beneath my feet, I fall and take a tumble face-first into the snow, dropping accidentally right beside,-

a freezing monkey?

My eyes widen as I look upwards to see Eugeo curled up into a ball, chittering from being trapped in the snow.

I dig up the snow-covered creature, gently lift him up and caress him in my arms under my vest to warm him up.

"Eugeo, Eugeo I'm so glad you're alright!"

Eugeo holds onto my arm as both comfort and security so he doesn't fall.

"Eugeo, we gotta get back to Tokrabah to save Princess Asuna from Agil somehow...but how?"

Holding Eugeo firmly under my vest, I manage to get up off the snowy ground and trudge along a path to where I saw in a crack of snow, a shiny familiar looking object.

"Is that-"

Before I could even finish voicing my own thought, Eugeo already had followed the object, all I had to do was retrieve it from two icy cracks within a snowy crevasse.

I make my way slowly and carefully towards the crack, kneeling down slowly while taking great caution not to slip between the snow.

While balancing myself above the cracks by preforming the splits with my boots dug into the other side of the snow for grip, I clench my teeth in a struggle before securing my grip safely.

With a nod of my head as an indication to proceed, I place Eugeo near the cracks.

I watch as Eugeo makes his way to the object and grabs it from the handle.

He looks back at me for approval.

"You got it, buddy, now slowly bring it to me, alright?" I say, making hand gestures at him.

Eugeo gently pulls the lamp from the icy cracks and chitters in a panic as he hears the snow crack slowly from underneath him.

"Eugeo, you got this, just a little more!" I yell from above.

He nods at me and proceeds to yank the lamp out of the snow, hearing the sound of snow cracking from underneath him, he makes his way to my direction in a frenzied panic.

"Eugeo!"

Eugeo throws himself into my arms as the snow beneath him cracks and crumbles into the crevasse. I catch Eugeo in my arms while jumping from the cracks onto a safe ledge of snow that I had lied on before.

I roll onto the snow with Eugeo safely in my arms, panting. Eugeo emerges from my vest, holding the lamp in his little hands.

Grinning at Eugeo, I hold the lamp in my hands.

"We did it Eugeo, now let's hope this works."

I take a deep breath in and out before blowing on the lamp and rubbing the surface of the lamp slowly.

Eugeo sits perched on my shoulder

"Why didn't it work?"

I turn to Eugeo who shrugs in reply.

"Hey, Klein, you in there?"

After a few moments of silence pass, the lamp starts to vibrate and glow within my grasp.

Suddenly the lamp shoots from the ground, myself and Eugeo cling onto the lamp with all our might as the lamp lifts off from the ground into the air, making a whooshing sound and leaving a blue trail of smoke behind.
