My First and Last

It was as if I have awoken from a dream

A dream too good to be true

Though the world is against me, it seems

But that doesn't mean I'll just forget you.

I remember that day when I first met you

So small and feeble you appeared

I underestimated you, oh i surely did

Seeing you, a feeling I can't get over with.

The times with you by my side were amazing

A friendship even for a short time

I looked into your eyes, how the heavens sing!

It's even hard to keep this poem rhyme.

I had many mistakes in the past

That made my heart break

Imagining that this 'love' could last

But all in all, the feeling was fake.

Now I'm setting this right, taking it slow

Even in simple messages my heart flutters

But I can't, I'm afraid that you will surely know

It will ruin everything, like blood on the snow.

Months have pased, I'm under Love's game

For I know this might end up in shame...

Regrettably I've fallen for you, thought you should know

Even if it hurts, I'll gladly accept your no...
