"My lord, why did you ask for me here?"

Lorelai asks upon her arrival.

Lord Sol is sitting behind the beautifully carved wooden table and addressing Lorelai who is standing right in front of him with one hand holding the hilt of her sword and fully-equipped in her ranger's uniform.

"I'm sorry for calling you here when the rangers are busy guarding the people coming into the forest."

Before the head elf delivers his order, he would like to hear what the commander of the rangers' opinion on the matter.

"Lorelai, what are your thought on training Iris as a ranger?"

"Her fundamentals are different but it doesn't hinder with the training I've been giving her. She combines what she already knows with my guidance effortlessly. There are times I, myself cannot keep up with her movements. Training her to be a ranger would be most effective for her survival." Lorelai tells him her honest assessment.

"Her survival."

Lord Sol repeat her words and made up his decision.

"I suppose you are right. She won't stay here even if we ask her to. That girl is full of spontaneity that it is affecting everyone around her as well. This is an order. Train Iris as a ranger, even better and stronger than the ones you've trained before."

"Understood." Lorelai bows her head.

"You have less than a year. Will that suffice?"

"Yes," Lorelai pauses and hesitates. "However, may I ask for a request?"

"What is it?"

"I alone will not be sufficient. If Iris were to learn the elves way of fighting, it might not bring out the best of her abilities wholly. She needs someone who is an expert in adapting and have the skill to fight accordingly in any given situation. There is only one person that comes to mind."

Lord Sol put his hand together on the table and think over it.

"I understand what you're saying. In short, the person you're recommending is none other than him. Is it?"

"Yes, my lord."

"It's earlier than our prearranged agreement. I suppose there is no time to be concern about that. Very well. Your request is granted."

Before Lorelai leaves the room, Lord Sol tells her not to share anything about this conversation with Iris. Lord Sol stands up from his chair, walks over to the window and mutters.

"There isn't a lot of time left before the sages' gathering."
