I stood in front of the big corporation, staring at the company that belonged to the Henderson family and their work in manufacturing and investments.

I was considering myself different from most people when it came to feeling betrayed, anger... I absorbed things and then responded more than reacted, dampened situations rather than adding to the flames.

Of course, when I felt like somebody was trying to control me, I was less absorbing and more responding and reacting.

But this time, I felt betrayed. I felt anger. And yet, I felt this power that I've gained thanks to that flash drive and its contents...

When my father first told me I had to marry Diego, I started laughing. Like really laughing. I thought he was joking with me, but when he spoke further about that marriage, my laughter turned into a hysterical one and when I finally understood what was happening, I stormed out and ran away for more than two months, trying to find a way out.

As you can tell, I've never found it.

And this situation was way worse. I disappeared for three weeks, but I couldn't just stay out of this any longer. I wasn't here for him because he didn't deserve my time anymore. I was here for myself. I was here so I could move on. I had to close the chapter and put an end to everything.

Or at least, it had to seem like it.

So taking a deep breath in, I entered the building. People at the reception already recognizing me as they greeted me warmly.

"Mrs. Henderson," The receptionist offered me a warm smile with a quick bob of her head. "Mr. Henderson wished not to be disturbed, shall I tell him you stopped by?"

"No." I replied coldly, not bothering on stopping and just passed my way to the elevators.

The receptionist said nothing more. Perhaps she was afraid of getting into trouble. If I cared enough, she would have.
