"What are you trying to do?" Diego asked with his deep voice, his dark eyes drilling into mine as they locked with mine.

His orbs, so dark and deep, like a bottomless well, they were dragging me in, those dark but beautiful eyes of his. Staring into his eyes, I was shocked to say I was losing myself in them.

From a stranger's perspective, his eyes might seem cold and distant, maybe imminent, at first. But the more I looked into them, the more I started to think that they were the type of darkness that wasn't dark.

They held secrets, that's for sure, but they were also sweet silence before dawn and responsibility. It occurred to me that his eyes were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen and I just wanted to lose myself in them.

"Nothing." I uttered, trying to understand my thoughts and myself.

I mean...what was going on with me? I couldn't understand these feelings I was having when he looked at me. It was as if every ounce of breath was taken from my lungs floating into the air like midnight smoke.

"I'm just bored and looking is the only thing you've left me to do." I muttered, my voice hitched at the end because of his closeness.

"Hmm..." He pursed his lips making my eyes glance lower, focusing on his lips.

He was about to say something when the door abruptly snapped open, letting a person in.

"I'm sorry I'm late, Darling." A high-pitched voice appeared in the room, making my head snap to the source, finding a fine female standing in the doorway.

My eyes immediately ran all over her decent figure, taking all of her perfection in, stopping at her - not so natural looking - bosom area.

It was a big area, let me tell you. And it wasn't so beguiling as she probably thought it would be. At least, I didn't like it but everything else was pretty on her, expect that overdone makeup...Yeah, I wasn't a fan of those either.

Wait...Did she say 'Darling?'.

I could bet my demons on that it wasn't meant for me, since she looked like she wasn't expecting to find me here. Well, not me exactly but a female in general. That made me think...Why would she act so informal with the third person in this room, who happened to be Diego?

And what was with people and these pet names? Was it that difficult to use given names?

"I've been waiting for you." Diego's voice brought me back to presence and my head snapped back to him.

He straightened up, walked around the desk and headed straight to her, while my narrowed eyes followed his every move.

Diego placed a hand on the small of her back and greeted the woman with a quick kiss on each of her cheeks, making my hands grip the chair for some unknown reason as she placed her hand on his bicep, returning the greeting.
