Jack: "Yeah. I was just hoping no one found out."
Sandy: "If you don't want anyone using common sense and context clues I suggest you drop the last name and lose the blond hair."
Jack: "Lose the blond hair? You want me to cut my hair?"
Jack sat down and rubbed his head. Sandy laughs and sits next to him running her hands through his head.
Sandy: "No, I mean you can cut it if you wish but I was thinking more of dying it. I think you can pull off a brunette, with some subtle highlights, maybe a trim."
Jack: "Um, I don't think I can do all of that. And my last name. What I just go by Jack no last name? Something like Cher?"
Sandy: "Boy, you are slow. Don't you have a sister? Emma Nelson or whatever. Jack Nelson. For a smart kid, you surely lack common sense. Tell you what. Meet me here after lunch."
Jack: "For?"
Jack asked confused.
Sandy: "I'm going to give you a makeover."
Jack: "Here at school?"
Sandy: "Look you ask too many questions. Just meet me back here at lunch."
Sandy gets up and walks away. Jack gives her a confused look as he stands and walks to class.
Andy sees Jack and runs up to him. He's out of breath and slightly hunches over.
Andy: "Were you just talking to Sandy in grade 10?" he asks very excitedly.
Jack: "Um yeah. Why?"
Jack gives Andy a crazy look. Andy is talking super fast and Jack can barely keep up. After about a minute of inaudible rambling Jack cuts in.
Jack: "Dude! Slow down and repeat almost all of that."
Andy: "Bro, she's hot."
Jack: "What does she being hot have to do with anything?"
Andy: "You could make her your girlfriend. Or at least have her swipe your V card."
Jack steps back and stares at him with a disgusted look.
Jack: "What? I haven't even kissed a girl and your talking about sex."
They walk into class and sit down in the back. Andy leans in and whispers to Jack.
Andy: "Dude, you haven't even kissed a girl? You never played spin the bottle, seven minutes in heaven, anything?"
Jack: "No"
Andy shakes his head. The bell rings and class begins. Andy tosses Jack a note saying "We are going to make sure you get kissed before this term ends,". Jack rolls his eyes and tosses the note back.
It's lunchtime and Jack is waiting for Sandy at the entrance of the school. As he stands there with a nervous look across his face. Sandy walks up to him and screams. Jack jumps dropping his books. Sandy lets out a laugh and helps him pick up his things.
Sandy: "Dude you need to loosen up,"
She hands his things and grabs his arm as she walks out the doors.
Jack: "Wait, where are we going?" he asks very timidly.
Sandy: "Just come on,"
They run to the bus stop.
Jack: "Are we ditching? You know my dads the principle. Why are we ditching? I have to go back. We have to go back."
Sandy stops abruptly and looks dead into his eyes with an almost deathly glare.
Sandy: "Look you niner nerd, we are already at this point. There is no turning back now. So shut the hell up and let's go."
They get on the bus and Jack sighs as he turns and looks back at the school.
Jack and Sandy reach the last stop on the bus line. They get off and Jack just looks around.
Jack: "Where are we."
Sandy: "Again with the questions. Shut up and follow me."
Sandy grabs Jack's hand and they walk down the street. They come to this nice penthouse apartment.
Jack: "Wow you, you live here?" he asked with an aw look in his face.
Sandy: "Just come on up," Sandy takes Jack up and goes to her room.
Jack: "Your parents aren't home?"
Sandy: "Do you see parents here now niner? I don't think so, now enough with the questions sit, shut up, and let me work."
Sandy pushes Jack into a chair and turns him away from the mirror. She begins to cut, color and change his look.
Hours later Sandy turns Jack to face the mirror. Jack's jaw drops, he barely recognizes himself.
Sandy: "Say something dork and not just sit with your mouth open," she hits him upside the head.
Jack: "What did I do? My parents are going to kill me."
Jack was completely shocked.
Sandy: "They'll be fine. But I think you should get going. Its 5'oclock and your phone haven't stopped ringing since we left school."
Sandy hands Jack his phone. He grabs his phone and backpack and takes off running. Sandy sits down and sighs spinning in her chair.
