Kel: "Jamie, Jamieeee, JAMIE! I know you hear me calling your name. What's your issue dude?"

Kel says as she sits at Jamie's table at the Dot.

Jamie: "You know I'm getting sick and tired of the way you've been treating me. You show me no respect what so ever. Do you think I'm supposed to be at your beck and call? I'm not your lapdog or sidekick. I thought I was your best friend."

Kel: "You are Jamie. I'm sorry. I've just been dealing with a lot lately and I guess I was taking it out on you and I apologize. Forgive me?"

Kel smiles and she slides a coffee across the table to Jamie. He looks at her and grabs the coffee.

Jamie: "Have they found a permit placement for you yet?" he asks sipping the coffee.

Kel: "Um, no. My foster mom called my social worker yesterday. She's having another child and can't afford to keep me."

Kel looks down as she plays with her fingers.

Jamie: "So are they going to send you to another foster home or group home?"

Kel: "Um, I don't know. I age out of the system in 2 years. I figured I just try to stick out till then."

Kel takes a deep breath.

Jamie: "Can't you get emancipated? I mean it can't be that hard, can it?"

Kel: "Look can we just drop this subject. My social worker is coming to pick me up this weekend and take me to wherever. It's no big deal."

Kel and Jamie sit in silence.

The next morning at Degrassi Sandy is sitting out on the steps when Jack walks by.

Jack: "I hate this damn place."

He mumbles under his breath.

Simpson: "What was that?"

Mr. Simpson steps out of the building and looks at him.

Jack: "Nothing sir. Now can I get to class?"

Simpson: "That sounds like a great idea. Hello Sandy, you planning on having a better day today."

Mr. Simpson addresses her.

Sandy: "No sir, today I plan to throw kittens off the roof, then streak through the school. Then after lunch, I might egg your car."

She rolls her eyes and brushes past him.

Jack: "He's the worst, right?"

Jack says with a cheesy awkward grin on his face.

Sandy: "Isn't he's your dad?"

Sandy gives him a sort of confused look.

Jack: "How, how'd you know?"

Sandy: "First you two look sorta alike. I also know he has a son named Jack Simpson. Which is your name? Correct?"

She stops and looks at him. He scratches the back of his neck and drops his head.
