Spark to spark-ish

Start from the beginning

"What about your human pal? Got any more of 'em?"

"They're our charges. Jack is my charge. Rafael, the youngest, is Bumblebee's and Miko, our most reckless, is Bulkhead's. Jack's mother, June, visits from time to time. We have a human liaison, Agent Fowler, who works with the government." You nodded along. Human friends and even an ally who rolls with the government. Solid! Arcee stopped and pulled you down to be optic level with her. "But if you even think of hurting them or using them as leverage, me and my team'll make sure you never see the skies ever again."

You nodded, optics wide. Your wings raised and fanned our in surprise. She let you go, you straightened up, and the two of you kept walking.

"I won't harm 'em. Not intentionally. Trust me. I consider my plus one my charge, and though they're not human, I can empathize." You kept your tone as assuring as possible. You could see her frame loosen up by a bit. You moved on again. "D'you take 'em on missions often? Do they sneak their way into 'em?"

"We'll let them come along if they want as long as they're no risk, or at least, supposed to be. Miko likes to sneak through the ground bridge for mission she's not allowed to be a part of for her safety. It usually involves the other two running through to make sure she doesn't get herself killed." The two-wheeler huffed in amusement to herself.

You smiled. She seemed to have lightened up from her protective outburst. You figured Decepticons weren't very kind to humans, from her protectiveness and your current knowledge of them.

"Sounds like it happens a lot," You commented playfully.

"More than we can seem to help," she hummed. A small smile was on her faceplates.

"Sounds like fun. Can't say my charge gets 'erself into nearly as much trouble as it sounds like yours do," you laughed.

"Oh, lucky you," Arcee commented. Her words were teasing.

"Eh. I'm usually the one to get myself into trouble. Or trouble finds me," you said with a shrug and toothy grin.

"I can't say I don't relate."

Your gazes met again. She had a side-smile on and a plump bottom lip. Her optics were the prettiest you'd ever seen.

Arcee's smile fell as her expression grew surprised and her faceplates flushed bright blue. "Ah, um, thanks."

"Oh, I said that out loud, didn't I?" You could feel yourself flushing lightly in embarrassment. Your servo rubbed the back of your neck. Your wings didn't seem to know what to do with themselves. Arcee turned away, hiding her faceplates. You couldn't help but say, "I'd apologize, but I can't say I'm wrong, so."

Smooth, real smooth. Your thought was sarcastic, but you could see her face had heated up just a little more. Arcee had raised a servo to her cheek on the side of her that was away from you.

"Sooo, what are your hobbies? Or does that fall into the realm of 'too personal'?" You asked.

Arcee looked over at you, blush fading. You were moving on?! Just like that?! One moment she was threatening to kill you if you hurt Team Prime's humans, next you were assuring your pacifism and having her laugh over all the times the humans nearly got themselves killed, and somehow saved the day instead. Now, you had unintentionally complemented her and didn't even seem embarrassed! You even doubled down on it! Jack had told her it sounded like you were flirting during your last encounter, but she had brushed it off. Maybe you were just that kind of bot.
