Depressed Dipper x Human Bill
Dipper is depressed for more reason than one.
Mabel, his twin sister, went missing in the middle of their Senior Year of High School. He spent the rest of his Senior Year looking for her. After coming back to school, h...
Dipper walked away from the school and towards the Mystery Shack, thankful he got some time to himself.
He always liked the walk from town to the Mystery Shack. Especially now that tourists season was mostly over and the roads were clear of random people from out of state asking where Mr. Mystery lived.
There was a light autumn breeze flowing through the trees as he walked. It felt nice on the strangely warm day.
Days like this made Dipper feel like he was a kid again, innocent and happy. Then reality usually slapped him in the face.
This time reality hit him in the form of a piece of paper. Which had been blowing in the wind and literally hit him in the face.
He pulled the piece of paper and found it to be a missing persons paper.

He stared at the paper for a long time, his hands gripping the paper roughly.
He had spent most of the day trying to avoid breaking down, something he was mere seconds from doing. Now, he was near ready to just let it all out.
He was about to let his walls fall down when he heard something behind him.
"Pines?"
Dipper froze as a car pulled up next to him. He quickly shoved the missing poster in his pocket.
"H-Hey Bill, what are you doing out here?" Dipper asked, pushing all thoughts from his mind. Especially of Mabel.
"We were going to check out the tourist place out here, what are you doing out here?" Bill asked.
"Oh, I was just walking home. I missed the bus..." Dipper said, trying to avoid Bill's gaze.
"S-Sorry, I think-k th-hat's m-my-my fault," Will said, rolling down his window in the back seat.
"It's alright. I prefer walking anyway." Dipper said.
"Man, you're a weird kid. Who likes to exercise? Especially walking." Kill said from the shotgun seat, peeking his head around Bill.
"I like walking. It's really nice out here." Dipper said.
"We could give you a ride, where do you live?" Bill asked. Dipper's face went involuntarily red.
"Just...you know...around. You don't have to give me a ride...I like walking." Dipper said, trying to sound less suspicious.
"Are you sure? We don't mind. You could probably help us anyway. We can't find that tourist place. We wanted to check it out." Bill said.
They can not know I live there. They would probably make fun of me for it. Dipper thought.
"Oh...the Mys...Murder Shack? Yeah...I'm pretty sure they're closed...all month. Something about a body being found. I'm not sure, it's all rumors. But they definitely aren't open." Dipper managed. Bill frowned.
"Body? Sign me up, where is this Murder Shack?" Kill said helpfully from the shotgun seat. Bill elbowed him.
"Thanks for letting us know. We'll have to check it out another time." Bill said.
"I...I d-d-don't kn-know if I real-really want-t to g-go to a p-p-place called the-the Murder Sh-Shack." Will said.
"Calm down Stutters, it's all just something to get people to come in. Advertising and all that." Kill said.
"Oh...oh-okay," Will said.
"I'm going to walk home now," Dipper said, awkwardly pointing towards the path he was walking.
"See you around Pines," Bill said, before driving off.
Dipper was thankful the triplets didn't force him into the car to drive him home. He really didn't want to have to explain why he lied about the mystery shack.
Dipper shoved his hands in his pockets, hitting the rough paper. Dipper pulled out the missing persons' form that contained Mabel's information on it. It was fairly new, as Dipper had never seen this particular form. They had sent multiple pictures into the police, as many recent ones as they could find in fact, but the police only used three of them for the first set of missing person forms. They made new ones each month. Dipper was thankful the police in Gravity Falls was almost as persistent in their search as he was. They hadn't been able to offer any recent help, but they had practically stopped everything to help find her. After three months, they weren't able to help much in the investigation much further, but they still printed the missing persons' forms.
Dipper kept the form in his pocket, to add to his piles of forms regarding Mabel.
He kept walking, his mind now only thinking of the investigation.

I pushed open the door to the Mystery Shack, arriving home almost 20 minutes later than the bus would have taken. Ford had been sitting at the table in the kitchen.
"Dipper, where have you been? Your almost twenty minutes late." He said.
"Sorry, I meant to call. I missed the bus so I decided to walk." Dipper said.
"I was started to get worried," Ford said.
"Sorry," Dipper said again, "I was thinking I might just walk instead of taking the bus every morning."
Ford shook his head.
"Sorry Dipper but I can't allow it. Not after what happened to Mabel. In fact, maybe I should drop you off at the bus stop every morning." Ford said.
"No, you don't need to do that. I just didn't want to take the bus that's all, but I can if you want me to. Just please don't drop me off." Dipper said.
"Why don't you want to ride the bus?" Ford asked.
"Just...some stupid kid. It really nothing. He was just being rude to me this morning. Nothing I can't handle." Dipper muttered.
"Stupid kid? Like a bully? Did you stand up to him?" Ford asked.
"Like I said it was nothing really. I just sat in the wrong seat." Dipper said. Ford frowned.
"Is that why you're wearing your hat?" He asked. Dipper nodded.
"I also kind of inserted myself into something that wasn't really my busisness." Dipper said. He explained what happened with him, Gideon, and Pacifica when he got to school, leaving out the details of what Gideon had done, just saying that Gideon yelled at him.
"Kids these days." Ford muttered, "I understand you wanted to help someone out but you probably should have just ignored it. Pacifica isn't exactly a nice person anyway. Maybe she deserved it."
"Nobody deserves to get bullied! I was just doing what Mabel would have done." Dipper snapped, immediately regretted it.
"Sorry, I've just had a long day." Dipper said.
"Its alright." Ford said, "How about this, you don't have to take the bus, but you can't walk, you can use Soos' old bike."
"Thanks Grunkle Ford." Dipper said, smiling slightly, before heading upstairs to his room.
