She/he is the most famous mystery crime thriller novelist of current time--so famous that most people who hear the name can tell you exactly who he is. They'd do anything for the author. It's almost as if they believe the story is true, that the author is really the brilliant detective the story revolves around. Of course, this isn't so, but that doesn't stop the local police department from requesting help in solving a terrifying serial murder.
