You're wading through the icy river at the base of a hill in the snow-covered forest. Suddenly, you spy something orange. Clothes? A body bubbles to the surface, followed by others. It's a dumping ground.
You're the skeptical detective, good at his long-time job and hoping for a quiet week. Instead, you're investigating a string of bodies, all found in water, all in the recent winter, all with double punture wounds in the throats.
Flip side, a young woman, scared and on the run. She knows who the murders are, and they're coming for her. In fact, they are more than what they appear. Born of water and with a thirst for blood, they want her to return with them... to come home. But she has another idea.
