Sometimes we need to pull ourselves out of the mud,
Pack the dishes set on the table of a crushing defect
And wash out the blood leaking out of our pride.
Life is a journey on the harshest of terrains,
And ever so often it rains,
It fills the potholes with doubt and pours anxiety across our windshields until we can no longer see the road,
It's so easy to lose control,
But breathe and just keep going.
Don't mind the blinking lights on the dash board,
You are strong enough to get through this.
Ignore the thunder outside,
Ignore the hard pull of gravity because you were born to raise,
Be it out of ashes,
Out of dirt,
Or even out of bed on a cold morning when you feel you don't have the strength left in you to keep going,
Keep going,
Keep going,
Just keep on going!
Life doesn't always give you seconds chances,
So when it does hold on to it with both hands,
And if it doesn't, forge your own path.
Beat your scars into armor,
Your mistakes into lessons that sharpen your pen,
Because this story is yours to write as you deeem fit.
You are the protagonist of your own story,
So stop looking back at the plot holes,
Those moments where it felt like the director must have fallen asleep and focus on the parts of the script that you get to write yourself,
So write yourself a new smile,
A new reason to carry on,
A new string of breathing taking moments,
And when the pages ahead start wrinkle,
And you are not sure what part comes next,
Just keep going.
