In the final hours of our road trip, Morgan started glancing down at his phone more and nervously moving in his seat. I just thought maybe he had to pee or something and I dismissed it. I'd been on the phone to Tyler only minutes ago about his road trip, he was going to be back about the same time Mo and I got back to Toronto in a few days, which was good because that meant we'd be going to the lake house, which is always fun, we spent a lot of our summer last year at the lake house. The sound of my phone ringing brought me out of my focused daydream and I answered it through the car, sending the sound of Fitz's voice blasting through the speakers.

"Hey Daisy." He said loudly down the phone, making Mo jump out his his skin and then chuckle to himself, I smirked and shook my head.

"Hey Cam, whats up? Can't talk for long, we're almost at Connors." I said and he cleared his throat but before he spoke, the sound of Swaggers voice cut in.

"Daisy, are you okay?" Swagger asked and I looked at Mo confused, who suddenly looked a bit more nervous.

"Yeah I'm good. Mo and I are on a road trip, so nothing can really bother me to be honest." I chuckled and there was muffled whispers from the other side of the phone from Swagger, Toby and Fitz.

"Uh okay, well, bye love you." Fitz said quickly and then hung up the phone. I looked at Mo even more confused and he just let out a sigh and shrugged.

"False alarm maybe?" He questioned and I just shrugged and nodded. It took us 20 minutes to finally get to Connors and when I finally climbed out of that car after driving for 4 hours straight, I was in complete joy.

"This isn't what I ordered." A voice said from behind me and I just smirked and turned around to see Connor standing in shorts and a jumper.

"Yeah well, be thankful with what you get." I said and he smiled and pulled me into a hug. Last time I got a proper hug from him was almost a year ago. When he pulled away, he looked at Morgan who was watching us both with a smile.

"It's good to see you man." Morgan said making his way over and bro hugging Connor. After Mo and I got out stuff from the car and Connor showed us to our rooms for the next couple of nights. "This is a nice place." Mo commented and I nodded. The three of us made our way into the living room and I flopped down on the sofa next to Connor who looked at us both.

"So what's it like being Stanley cup champions then?" He asked us and Morgan looked at me and I smiled.

"I'm not going to lie, it's pretty awesome. Feels like you're walking on cloud 9 all the time. And I can't even begin to tell you what it felt like on that rink when we officially won the game, it was like everything changed and we were the only people on the world." I said and Mo nodded.

"I don't think I'll recover for a while, it's pretty crazy." He said and I just nodded quickly with a wide smile.

The three of us decided to go out for dinner that night, Mo and I showered since we'd been stuck in a car for over 35 hours. I threw on a oversized t shirt and some fishnets before grabbing my filas and jogging downstairs. Connor and Mo seemed to be in a pretty intense conversation so I just decided to leave it to them as I pulled on my shoes.

"Ubers here." Connor said peaking his head around the corner and into the living room and I just nodded. We got dropped off in the city center which was a nice because the sun was setting yet it was still warm. Connor offered me his arm as we stepped out of the uber, Mo trailing behind on the phone to Mitch.

"Ah shit, I forgot my phone again." I said and Connor looked at me quickly. "I've hardly looked at it since we started the road trip. After the articles that came out after me being in Melbourne, I logged out of all social media, not for a long time, but so far I'm enjoying being social media free." I said with a smile and Connor smiled at me nervously before nodding.

"I think during the season, we all don't pay as much attention to our phones in general, but the minute the off season come round, we're glued to them, especially the winning team." He said and nudged my shoulder and I just sighed and nodded. Morgan caught back up with us and after 10 minutes of trying to figure out what we were going todo, we decided to spend the night at a beer garden. By the time the three of us made our way into Connor's house at 2am, we were drunk and giggly.

"I just can't believe Don Cheery actually called you a disgrace, to your face!" Connor said passing Mo and I a beer before flopping down next to me. I chugged my beer and nodded, resting my feet in Morgans lap.

"Couldn't handle the fact that the Leafs won. He's a right dickhead." I said shaking my head and both Mo and Connor nodded before continuing to talk about something else. We all ended up falling asleep in the living room at 5am, we spent the next day lounging in the garden and forgetting about our problems. Having just Mo and Connor with me was nice, it was a bit of space and a good mindset. I just missed Kappy a lot.
