Tyler's hand was pressed gently on my back, I had my head on his chest and my heart in my throat. The room was pitch black and the only sound was his gentle snores. I was tired but not tired enough to sleep, in about 6 hours time I was going to be on a flight to Toronto. I had spent most of yesterday packing and coming to terms with the situation, although I was happy to be going back to where I grew up, apart of me wanted to stay in Dallas, I'd been with these guys for a year, they are my first NHL team and I was definitely going to miss them. I sighed and Tyler pulled me closer into his side, making me smile slightly.

Tyler and I had gotten together on a really strange occasion. About 6 months into me being apart of the Stars, Tyler and I were just sitting on his sofa watching football. I laid my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around my waist then we fell asleep. When we woke up, I was wrapped in his arms and laying on his chest, he kissed me slowly and from then on we kind of were together. We never said we were dating, we didn't even tell each other we were dating, we just spend a lot of time wrapped up in each other's arms.

I lay awake for a couple more hours, watching out of the window for the sun to rise, telling me that I could finally get out of bed. When the sun had fully risen and I checked my phone, it was 9am, my flight was in 3 hours and I didn't even want to go. I sighed and propped myself up on my elbows, I took in Tyler's features and couldn't help but smile. He was half smiling while he slept, he looked happy and content which made me not want to wake him. But as I tried to get myself out of his grip, that proved difficult.

"Where are you going?" He asked tiredly, his voice cracking slightly before he cleared his throat, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands.

"I'm gonna have to go get ready." I whispered as I ran my fingers through his hair, he let his hands fall by his sides as he stared at the ceiling. It took him a second to realise what I meant and when he did, he pouted and I did also, climbing onto him and straddling his waist.

"It'll be okay, it's not like we'll never see each other again, Daisy. We're supposed to be playing the Leafs in the first month back anyways." Tyler said, brushing his thumb over my cheek before I leaned forward and rested my head on his chest. He rubbed his hands over my back and I just sighed.

"That's going to be the worst part, having to play you guys." I said and Tyler tiredly chuckled as I sat back up again. He placed his hands on my thighs and looked me right in the eye.

"I love you, Daisy." He said and I leaned forward. Pressing a gentle yet sincere kiss to his lips. When I pulled back he pulled me back down for more and I just melted into the kiss like I always did.

When we both decided to finally peel ourselves out of bed, I made sure I had everything organised and I was ready to go. Jamie was gonna be round in an hour and I definitely wasn't ready to say goodbye to him, he was like the big brother that I never had and apart from Tyler, I was going to miss him the most. I had said my goodbyes to the rest of the guys last night when we all gathered at Tyler's house for drinks and pizza, my going away party, which both sucked and was actually really fun at the same time.

"Staring at your suitcase isn't going to make the situation go away." Tyler joked and I just rolled my eyes and flipped him off, zipping up my suitcase and standing up. I could feel his eyes on my back and I sighed gently, turning around to face him. Tyler was the hardest part of leaving Dallas and I wasn't afraid to say that. He opened his arms and I just walked into them, stealing every moment I could before I had to go. He held me tight against his chest and pressed a long kiss to the top of my head. We stood like that until Jamie walked into the house, then I got my stuff and we set off to the airport. The Leafs had sent a jet to take me straight to the airport and a car to send me straight to my accommodation.

"Well, looks like this is it, I'm finally relieving you of your alternative Captain role." Jamie said and I pouted and pointed to the A that was still on my jersey that I wore.

"Well, I'll continue to wear my A with pride anyways." I said and Jamie just laughed. He pulled me into a tight hug and we stood there for a few seconds before he took one last look at me and then nodded, leaving without another word, I knew that was how it was going to work with Jamie. I turned my attention to Tyler who was smiling.

"I love you Ty." I said, replying to what he had said this morning. He smiled sadly and pulled me in for one more kiss. I didn't cry, there was no point in crying, it wasn't like I wasn't going to ever see him again, but I knew this was going to be the end of what we had.

"Have a safe flight and call me when you land. Try not to get injured on your first week." He said making me laugh as I remembered my first injury back when I first joined the team.

"Promise." I said and he just smiled and nodded, he pressed a kiss to my forehead before leaving. I watched him leave and turned back into the airport, ready for a new start in Toronto.
