"Ohhhhhhhh! Kai, wait up!" I yelled as I dashed out the door.
I ran down the hall, and just caught Kai before he got on the elevator.
"Kai, wait up!" I said.
"Julian? What's wrong?" Kai worryingly asked.
"You mentioned something about hibachi tonight?" I asked smiling.
"Yeah. Did you change your mind?" Kai asked full of hope.
"I'd love to go" I said smiling.
"Sweet! What do you think about 8 tonight?" Kai asked smiling.
"Sounds great!" I said happily.
"Cool. Can't wait" Kai said smiling.
I headed back into the house, and Kai waited for the elevator. When I got back in, I talked with Lauren.
"Lauren..." I said sadly.
"What's wrong?" Lauren asked.
I stayed silent for a quick second.
"Promise me you won't go crazy over this" I said.
"I promise! Now what's up?" Lauren asked.
"Okay... I got my first official date with Kai tonight at 8" I said happily.
Lauren squeals excitedly and holds the tone for about five seconds as she stood up, and did a cartwheel.
"I'm so proud of you!" Lauren said smiling as she unlinked her hands from mine.
"Thanks, girl!" I said smiling.
"Now, where are you going?" Lauren asked.
"There's this place on Clark Street called Benimama's. I might have looked it up as I was here in case I was going on a date" I said smiling.
"You are a genius!" Lauren said smiling.
"I know" I said confidently as I started to laugh.
"Can I help you get ready? I want you to look sexy. All eyes are gonna be on you" Lauren said smiling.
"Well in that case... sure!" I said smiling.
"Sweet!" Lauren said smiling.
We both ran off to my room, so I could try on outfits. After many outfits tried on, I decided to go with a striped t-shirt, with blue jean short shorts, and some converses.
"OMG! You look so cute!" Lauren said smiling.
"Thanks!" I said smiling.
"Brendan, Desiree, and Natalie should be back soon. It's like 7:30. I think they just got out of class" Lauren said.
"Cool. Hopefully we can make it on time. I just have to wait for Kai to get back" I said smiling.
"Good luck!" Lauren said happily.
"Thanks so much" I said smiling.
Brendan's POV
Natalie and I just got out of class, and we're headed home. I think I'm gonna text Jazmine, but I don't know what to say. I've been thinking about her all day today. Natalie noticed I wasn't being myself today.
"Brendan?..." Natalie asked.
I didn't respond to her.
"Brendan!" Natalie said.
"Huh?" I asked as I shook my head.
"Are you okay? You seem like you're in a daze" Natalie said.
