jae suddenly remembered the hot feeling of taeyong's skin against his own. the creamy paleness of the other mixed with the bronzed jaehyun, it was all too much to handle. taeyong was truly messing with jaehyun's head.

a sudden realization hit the man. the color seemed to drop from his face. his breath hitched.

what if...

what if the one wasn't a girl?

"class!" the teacher yelled, gaining attention from jaehyun. only then did jae realize all of the class' students were seated at their correct seats. they had all came in while jaehyun was thinking. class was starting.

.

there was a minute left of the lecture and jaehyun could not wait to leave his seat. just as the boy had gathered his things, the professor began to speak.

"so this is why i have decided to assign a project to the entire class," mr.kim said, just seconds before the bell was going to ring, "more specifically, a partnered project. your assignment is to find a partner and work on the topic you have been given. project will be due friday, the guidelines are all on your rubric, class dismissed." the man finished, clapped the corners of his papers together and turned away from the class, heading to his office.

'a partnered project?' jaehyun thought to himself, placing a pencil into his bag. the bell rang and a selection of students had risen from their seats, heading over to other students in question of pairs.

"what do you say, partner? we can work on the project after basketball practice and..." wong yukhei had started, leaning right in front of jaehyun's table, assuming the position of partners.

jaehyun looked all around the room, searching for somebody else to work on the assignment with. yes, he loved yukhei and all, but this was a different matter. jaehyun looked up to the top row of the class and saw a flock of women surrounding the familiar head of black hair. taeyong was seen waving the girls off, most likely politely declining the offers.

jaehyun needed to do something. he had no idea what he was feeling, but he knew it was all revolving around that one man.

he saw taeyong quickly making his way to the door. he opened the said object and stepped out of the classroom, not bothering to look back. how is he always so fast to leave?

jaehyun immediately grabbed his bag next to him and took off for the door, leaving a confused yukhei exclaiming "jae!"

the man looked both directions down the hallway once he left the doorway, in search of his favorite head of black hair. jaehyun's eyes lit up as he saw the male turning a corner down the foyer. he had to catch up.

a loud "taeyong!" was to be heard in these busy hallways and just as the boy's name had been called, his hand was grabbed by jaehyun's, turning his entire body around to face his own. taeyong was shocked at the sudden action and slightly blushed at jaehyun's proximity.

"oh... hey," jaehyun started, also blushing at their actions, "i was going to ask uh, if you uh..." jaehyun said, trying to gain his thoughts. why the hell did he get so flustered around taeyong? taeyong stared at the other with wide open eyes, waiting for jaehyun's words.

"i wanted to know if you had a partner for the project? because we could work together, or, if you wanted to work with someone else, it's okay, i was just going to ask, uh, i get if you don't want to-"

"i'd love to work on the project with you, jae," taeyong said with a honey-like voice, interrupting jaehyun's rushed words.

jaehyun stared back, confusion and excitement in his eyes.
