jaehyun
"what? why?" taeyong aggressively asked the male, pulling his wrist away from jaehyun's grasp.
jaehyun scoffed.
"because. everytime i've tried to talk to you, you've ignored me and walked off, punk. not this time. you aren't just going to leave."
he has let taeyong bother him for far too long, yet jaehyun has no knowledge of who taeyong truly was. this was the perfect opportunity to really get to know him.
taeyong's face showed a look of grimace.
"what if i don't want you to."
"too bad."
taeyong opened his mouth, as if he was going to say something to protest, then stopped. he shook his head. the boy sighed and turned out the door, allowing jaehyun to follow behind.
-
around thirty minutes later, jaehyun found himself standing next to a black haired taeyong, sharing a vertical pole in the middle of a city bus. the two hadn't said a word since they left the school building.
'where the hell are we even going?' jaehyun mentally asked himself.
jaehyun looked out of the wide windows on the bus, viewing the gorgeous scenery the city had to offer. tall green trees stood all along the side of the road, flowers blooming at the trunks. multicolored cars sped by on each side of the bus, occasionally honking at oncoming traffic as they entered into the city. it was quite busy on the roads today, and jaehyun loved it.
for some absolute reason, jaehyun was in love with the city. the energy and life of the buildings and people was the best part of it all. there was no other place jaehyun would rather be.
well, maybe not standing in a public bus in the middle of a group strangers, following a handsome boy for who knows why. this was quite the scenario.
suddenly, the bus bumped up, jaehyun bouncing as it did so. the sudden turbulence made jaehyun loose his grip on the pole, his hand removing itself from the cold metal. he quickly regained himself and brought his hand back onto the object, except onto something softer.
he looked over to see what the man was grabbing and was shocked to see it was a hand. more specifically, taeyong's.
jaehyun looked at taeyong and was surprised to see the boy already staring back. the two found themselves sharing a silent staring contest. neither made any effort to move their hands.
this lasted seconds longer, until the bus halted to a stop. passengers started to get out of their seats, leaving the vehicle. taeyong noticed and immediately took his hand off the pole, pushing his shoulder past jaehyun.
jaehyun swore that maybe, just maybe, he saw a slight blush creep onto taeyong's pale cheeks.
.
jaehyun frustratedly sighed when he himself left the steps of the bus, only to find the man he was following missing.
"where the hell did he go?" jaehyun whispered to himself.
jaehyun's head snapped from side to side, searching for taeyong through the crowds of people swarming the city of seoul, when suddenly his eyes did a double take.
a yard away stood lee taeyong's head of fluffy black hair. as if on que, taeyong turned his head and saw jaehyun staring. his eyes went wide. he turned back and started running further into the crowd.
jaehyun groaned. he started running, too.
jaehyun was a few blocks away struggling to catch up. his tailored shoes tapped hardly on the ground as he ran. he pushed his shoulders through the crowds of men and women, making some effort to catch the boy he was after.
"stop!" jaehyun shouted. taeyong continued running, rounding the corner of a building and disappearing again.
jaehyun ran forward to the end of the corner. taeyong was nowhere to be seen. he looked left and right, over his shoulders and across the street, until a sudden sound caught his attention. a bell, which was owned to a little cafe door, rang from a few blocks away. jaehyun watched the cafe door swing shut.
-
taeyong
lee taeyong aggressively stumbled into a beige-bricked cafe a few blocks away from the corner of the street.
he turned and pushed against the glass door and looked through the pane.
'i think i lost him.' taeyong thought to himself as he searched all of the sidewalks for a brown-haired jaehyun. suddenly, the man appeared on the street's crevice.
taeyong panicked.
"shit, shit, shit." he said. the man turned and frantically ran to the counter of the cafe.
"mark! mark lee!" taeyong screamed over the edge of the counter. no response was met to the man's request. he looked over the area that was behind the counter, the many rows of baked goods and coffee machines, and to the very end of the products, an employee door. taeyong then saw a small silver bell placed on the edge of the counter. he smirked to himself.
"mark lee! mark lee!" he began to scream louder, smashing his hand against the service bell. thank god there were no customers in the cafe at the moment or taeyong would be receiving many complaints.
"maaarrkk leeee!"
"what the hell do you want!" a sudden angry mark appeared from behind the 'employees only' door.
this man that had appeared had fluffy dark hair that bounced on top of his small head. the eyelids that covered his deep brown eyes fluttered with each blink and his eyebrows pinched together, displaying a look of annoyance at taeyong. his lips looked slightly red and swollen and the work apron he wore seemed a bit misplaced, not to mention the amount of buttons unbuttoned at the the top of his collar.
mark approached the front of the counter and ripped the bell from taeyong's grasp.
"don't. touch. the. bell." mark hastily said to taeyong, spitting the words through his teeth.
taeyong rolled his eyes.
"hyuck, you can come out now. you have a job to do." taeyong said.
from behind the employee's door came a smaller male, this time with darker brown hair that was incredibly messy. he had large brown eyes that sparkled and honey skin that glistened. he was an insanely beautiful. his lips were also swollen.
the smaller male shyly trotted over to mark's side, broadcasting an apparent height difference.
"next time i come here i expect someone to be at the counter taking my order, not the owner of the damn building, mark, making out with his boyfriend in the employee's closet." taeyong said, nonchalantly. the working couple behind the counter both erupted into a blush at the male's words.
"donghyuck, i'll take a large black coffee. thanks." taeyong ordered the boy.
lee donghyuck nodded and turned to the nearest coffee machine, preparing a cup for taeyong. mark glared at the black haired male in front of him and turned to help his boyfriend with the order.
mark lee placed his hand on the youngest's head and begun to run a hand through his hair. donghyuck met his gaze and the two smiled at each other fondly.
taeyong coughed loudly, interrupting the moment between the two boys. mark glared at the man for the nth time that evening.
taeyong just shook his head, sighing to himself.
suddenly, the bell to the front door rang loudly as someone entered the cafe. taeyong turned to see who the person was.
"shit." he groaned out loud.
