taeyong

lee taeyong was dumbfounded. introduce himself? in front of the class? what was this, grade school?

taeyong rolled his eyes and stayed stiff in his seat. it wasn't necessary to introduce himself, so why did he have to? the class didn't care about him, and taeyong the same. this was school, not some job interview.

the teacher waited a few seconds and saw how the boy did not move.

"oh come on, it's not that hard. just come on down here and you can tell the class your name. i'm sure the rest of the students would love to get to know you! isn't that right, class?" the teacher states, looking for a response in the crowd. yet again, he was met with nothing.

was the professor really begging him?

taeyong has never really been good with public speaking. it wasn't that he got nervous or anxious when he had to present himself, it was just that he believed it was truly redundant if there was no real reason to why he had to do so. taeyong was always like that, if there was no true meaning to why he had to go through with something, what was the point?

then again, he remembered his parents' words about success in school and getting top grades. taeyong has always been pressured throughout his life to come out on top, to be the best, and it has always been like that, from grade one to present time. it sucked. taeyong's parents didn't care about his opinion in these situations, they never have, and taeyong knew better then to speak up against that. he knew the consequences against rebelling, he knew them very well. yet, taeyong still went through with everything his parents have said. he had to get fantastic scores on everything, he had to be the victorian.

and right now, he had to participate, and he knew that if he didn't comply with what the professor asked of him, he would truly regret it.

taeyong shook his head and sighed loudly as he stood up.

'this is so stupid.'

once taeyong had reached the bottom of the steps that led to the front of the classroom, he slowly turned and met face to face with the rest of the students. taeyong looked down, pulled both of his feet together, intertwined his fingers, and brought them in front of his hips as he stood.

everyone in the room stared intensely at the handsome man, eyes wide. they were captivated. who was this new stranger?

taeyong felt all of the looks he was receiving. he nervously licked his lips.

the boy peered over to where the professor was sitting, waiting for approval to speak.

he was met with a nod.

he spoke.

"ah.. hello, everybody, my name is lee taeyong. i'm a sophomore here at neo culture universiy," taeyong began.

"i transferred to this school from seoul national university and i am looking forward to getting to know all of you."

taeyong pulled a fake smile. he wasn't 'looking forward' to meeting anyone.

he looked up and scanned all of the faces in the crowd of students.

a girl, black hair, similar to his own. circular glasses.

a girl, straight brown hair. lots of makeup.

another girl, tan skin. she had a blue clip in her hair.

then, at the farthest corner of the rows, taeyong saw a boy.

this boy had fluffy, light brown hair and some of the deepest dimples taeyong had ever seen. he owned a pair of deep, brown eyes, which he used to stare back at taeyong.

wait, taeyong had seen this boy before. earlier, in the hallway. their eyes met only for a few seconds, he remembered.

it was longer now, as they had been staring for a minute. or, at least it felt that way to him.

taeyong couldn't look away. he had no idea why. he just kept staring at the boy's chocolate orbs longer, and longer-

"lee taeyong!"

taeyong blinked. he looked over to the professor, who showed a questionable expression on his face.

"i'm sorry, what did you say?" taeyong asked, confused. he hadn't heard anything the man had said.

the professor shook his head.

"i said, you gave and excellent introduction. i'm sure the rest of the class are also excited to get to know you as well. you may now head back to your seat." he concluded.

taeyong nodded.

he began his walk back to his table, but not before giving the brown eyed boy one more look.

he was staring back.
