taeyong

"i can't help it. it's like, whenever i'm around him, i just can't control myself. i lose all feeling in my hands and i just- i don't know how to explain it, tae. maybe i'm going crazy."

it was finally the end of taeyong's first day at neo culture university. he and his best friend, yuta, were slowly approaching the exit of the building.

taeyong was ready to finally leave this hell.

"i knew you were crazy, yuta, but never have i heard you get this excited over a boy," taeyong said.

yuta nakamoto had met somebody four days ago.

.

he had no idea where he was going for orientation on his very first time being in the new school, and he was lost. while searching around, confused, someone approached him. the stranger introduced himself as sicheng. he was lanky, wore circular glasses, and held a few small pieces of candy with chinese text on it in his hand. he offered help to yuta, and the japanese boy happily accepted. after showing the lost boy around the university, sicheng ended the tour at yuta's destination. sicheng departed and left to his first period. yuta was truly star struck.

on his first day, yuta struggled to open the storage locker that was assigned to him at orientation. he began to get frustrated at the device and groaned. suddenly, out of nowhere, sicheng pulled his angry hands away from the lock, stuffed the candy he had been eating in his pocket, and asked for the combination. once given, the boy twisted the correct numbers with his pale, bony fingers until the lock opened. yuta stared, shocked. sicheng softly laughed, showing off a small smile.

"you got your locker opened, and i got to see the hilarious expression you made after. it's a win-win." now it was yuta's turn to smile.

"winwin.." he mumbled.

the second day, yuta was in the library during the last period. he was searching the shelves of books on advanced korean studies. he searched all over, up and down, until he found a single book on the top shelf.

'great' yuta thought to himself. he groaned, yet again. as the boy graced onto his toes, he stretched up to reach the parchment. he continued to reach further and further, until a long set of fingers grabbed the book before he could. yuta got off his toes and turned to meet the one who had received the article.

sicheng.

"here," he had said and handed it to yuta. he stared up into sicheng's eyes and formally thanked the boy.

yuta then made his way to a seat at a table set in the library. he flipped the book open and began to take notes. hours had passed and yuta had gotten half way through the book, which continued to get harder in vocabulary as the pages went on. he began to stutter more frequently than he had before, finding it harder to understand.

"what does that even mean?" yuta whispered, confused.

"consequently. as a result of something. and you've been studying for long enough, why don't you take a break?" a voice interrupted yuta's thoughts. he peered up to see the owner. once again, he was met by the same pair of black eyes that had belonged to dong sicheng. the boy's arms were stuffed with snacks and two bottles of water.

"what's this..?" yuta shyly asked, directing to the food. sicheng smiled and sat down across from yuta, laying all of the contents from his hands onto the table.

"i thought you'd want something to eat. you've been here since three, and it's around seven now. i thought maybe you'd need a rest," sicheng finished. yuta blushed. for the rest of the night the two talked about their lives, school, shared smiles, and ate the snacks together until 8:00, when they were officially kicked out of the school's library.

sicheng walked yuta to his car and waved goodbye, smiling. after doing so, he headed off for his own vehicle.

this was the best time yuta has had in a while.

.

"i've just never felt this feeling before. i don't know why i feel this way about sicheng." yuta pondered.

taeyong continued to listen to his best friend as they neared closer to the doors.

'almost out' he thought to himself.

"he sounds nice, yuta, maybe you-" taeyong began but was interrupted by someone stepping in front of him. taeyong was taken aback. he looked up to see who exactly this was blocking him.

brown hair, dimples, tan skin...

wait-

"hello." the stranger said to tae.

taeyong stared back. it was the man from class earlier. and the one from the hallway. this guy again?

"my name is jung jaehyun. you were from my first period this morning, the new guy." he started. taeyong sighed.

'yep, that's me.' he sarcastically thought.

"i just wanted to introduce myself. and this is wong yukhei. he also has the same class." he calmly stated and gestured to his right.

exactly parallel to him stood another guy, except this one seemed to be 10 feet tall. he had brown hair and a smug expression glued to his face.

"anyway, like you had said earlier, i also look forward to getting to meet you, lee taeyong," jaehyun finished and slightly bowed his head.

taeyong had enough of this. he just wanted to leave this place.

in one swift motion, taeyong grabbed yuta by his collar and swerved around jaehyun, forcefully bumping shoulders with him, yet again. taeyong was quick and headed straight for the doors. he then walked out the exit, yuta in hand, leaving behind a shocked jaehyun.
