jung jaehyun pushed on the handle connected to the cafe door, letting himself into the building. his nose was immediately filled with the scent of dark coffee beans brewing. he gave a small smile to the fragrance.

seconds later, jaehyun's brown eyes found themselves on the lanky body that belonged to lee taeyong. he was already staring at the male entering the room.

"what a pleasure it is to see you again, taeyong." jaehyun sarcastically said and smirked, aware of the fact he was driving the other insane. he slipped both hands into his pockets and stood in front of the entrance.

'why does this bastard keep following me around?' taeyong thought to himself, eyebrows pinched together, grimacing.

taeyong groaned loudly and began to walk towards the glass door himself, wanting
to escape the situation. he approached jaehyun and shoved the taller male to the side with his thin arms, but before taeyong was able to even grasp the handle an actual hand grabbed his own and pulled him away from the door. jaehyun had no idea where the sudden confidence came from, but he whipped taeyong away from the door, grabbing both of his hands, and held him close.

"woah, woah, woah, kid. aren't we supposed to be having a tutor lesson right now? a nice cafe, what a perfect place to study. smart of you to come here, tae." jaehyun stated. the cockiness of his tone certainly bothered taeyong. he looked into jaehyun's eyes and panicked at the sudden closeness of the two.

"yeah! and besides, i just made you this big cup of coffee, idiot! you aren't getting away without taking it," a slightly angered donghyuck said from behind the counter, showcasing the tall, lidded paper cup. taeyong rolled his eyes impossibly far back into his head. he would literally rather be anywhere else besides here. hell, he'd rather be with his parents than spend another second here with this dumbass jung jaehyun, and that's saying something.

the man yanked his hands from jaehyun's and turned, walking towards the counter.

jaehyun smiled to himself.

"same order for me too, mark." jaehyun said, beginning to approach the counter as well. he stood next to taeyong. mark turned from the couple of boys and began to work his magic on a coffee machine.

taeyong's face twisted, confused.

'how does he know mark?' he thought. taeyong knew mark through the cafe, making frequent orders at the most inconvenient of times, plus some relations through his best friend yuta and his soccer team. but how would a complete ass like jaehyun know mark lee?

the look of confusion seemed to be apparent as jaehyun noticed.

"ah, we're roommates, mark and i. have been since last year. yeah, he's a pain in my ass but i get free coffee for putting up with him, so," jaehyun concluded.

taeyong nodded and had his made cup of coffee handed to him.

-

"you know what you're doing, i don't see why this is necessary." taeyong said.

taeyong and jaehyun were sat at a booth together near the back of the cafe. a jet black coffee in each boy's hand, jaehyun had insisted the two sit and actually have a tutoring session. jaehyun sat at taeyong's side, head rested on his own folded arms, staring at taeyong's side profile.

"yep. absolutely necessary." jaehyun quirked.

taeyong sighed.

"tell me, taeyong. what's something you know that nobody else knows about you." a sudden question asked.

taeyong looked over to the man next to him. they stared at each other's eyes.

silence warped over the two.
