"Now you have him, does it make a difference?, do you still want him?" He asked and I shrugged.
"I wouldn't know, I don't have him." I said removing my gaze from him.

"Well why not?"
"It's not that easy." I said quietly.
"It's not?" He asked.
"No."

"Why's it not easy?, does he not feel the same way?"
"I haven't gotten that far yet, I haven't been able to let myself get there."

"Can you say it's not easy?, losing myself to my desires has always been too easy for me." He turns to me, he's staring at me.

"We have completely different problems then. I'm going to turn in now."
"Sleep well."

The next day by night time I decided to go see Neal, he made arrangements with his friends to meet at a 5 star restaurant and somehow I had put myself in the middle of his plans just because I had insisted to meet with him today and his plans had slipped his mind.

I found myself FaceTiming for 3 hours straight trying to pick an outfit. We settled on a dress that I'd brought just to decorate my closet. It was dark red with a deep v neck and with tiny straps holding it. The dress had a very high thigh cut and was decorated with gold glitter. Paired with black stilettos.

I kept my makeup light with a dark nude pink lipstick and tied my dark straightened hair up.

When I stepped out of the room, the twin boys rushed passed me both running with loud foot steps thundering down the hallway.

I backed into the door, Ellis was running after them, Gloves on holding what appeared to be poison ivy.
"it's not real, I promise."

"WHY ARE YOU WEARING THE GLOVES THEN?!" One of the shouted
"My hands are cold!" Ellis yelled back.

"PUT IT ON YOUR FACE THEN." The other one continued.

Ellis's speed increased and before soon he was in front of me.
"It's really fake I swear." Ellis said and I nodded with a small smile.
"You're going somewhere." Ellis said looking at my outfit.
"You've been concerned about my lack of socializing. I decided to make an effort."

"you look stunning ." He said and I thank him. He stared at me for a little longer.
"Enjoy your night." He said lifting up the poison ivy plant almost as if he was making a toast.

I walked passed him feeling his eyes still on me.
He starts running again.

My heart started racing and I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face.
" and a wonderful evening to you as well Astrid" Mr Alesi said at the bottom of the stairway.
"You too."

I took an uber to the restaurant, I knew I was going to have a drink tonight and figured it would be less of a hassle.

I arrived at the restaurant, by the time I got there everyone's food was already getting served, Meaning I was late.
Not only did I hate being late but I also hated the hostility between Neal's friends and I.

I wasn't the most open person with communication. I knew I was a little shut off at first glance but I genuinely tried with them.
Although we were the same age they were at different stages in their lives. They were already living in suburbs and taking care of their teenagers, getting divorces and having affairs.
