❝ I'm sorry. . ❞
❝ Sorry. ❞
The two looked at each other and suddenly their lips broke into a grin, nodding as they silently accepted one's poor apology. This time, Brad decided to ease his shoulders to show that he's already fine with Nurse Barry's presence. Barry noticed the smallest detail, smiling to himself as he went over to his side and jot things down on his clipboard.
Brad was, sure enough, scared to talk. That when he started a conversation, unfortunately it started by, ❝ H–how day off? ❞
❝ Uhh. . What? ❞ Barry looked down from his clipboard then to Brad who was already cursing in Spanish. He made it sound like he was just talking about his favorite Tortilla de Patata, Polbo á fiera, or Paella– but nooo, he's actually cursing and Barry wouldn't have known if he didn't study Spanish a few years back.
Brad was suddenly slapped to reality when he realized that Barry was still standing there, looking at him as if he just went mental. Sighing out, he clenched his hands to fists as he looked at Barry with a small smile. ❝ H–How was your. . Day off? ❞
Barry could've sworn his breath was knocked off his lungs. ❝ G–amazing. . Good! I mean good and amazing! Oh crap. . ❞
The two looked at each other again but this time, they burst into laughter. The small room with closed walls had their laughs echoing right on it's edges. Whomsoever passed by the private room might have thought that there were crazies in the hospital too, and they were just waiting for the Mental Hospital to pick them up.
Once their laughs died down, Barry glanced from Brad's face then to the television. The recap of US' The Office was on as a grin made it's way on his face. ❝ You watch the Office too? ❞
Brad sighed, looking up as he studied Jim's calm face– waiting for Dwight to react on his prank. ❝ Hell yes, but I watched the UK's first. And then I decided to watch this too, ❞
Barry then looked down to his patient, nodding. But just as when Brad thought that he was finished with his morning visit and was willing to ask him to watch an episode of the Office, Barry already knew by setting his clipboard down to the guest table and grabbed himself a chair.
But this time, the two was finally at peace.
❝ The Office sure is G–amazing. ❞
❝ Oh shut up. ❞
