Second day of Barry's absence and Brad isn't so sure if he should be happy.

Throughout the time he was left alone and was being visited by Nurse Ace instead, who was flirting with him by dropping unnecessary corny pick–up lines, he thought of the other perspective of Barry and his argument. If he was right, then why did it feel not? If he was wrong, there are more answers to let him know that maybe he wasn't.

And you know what? Brad has never felt so conflicted in his life.

A knock on his door made him look from his television towards the opening room door, his shoulders suddenly relaxing and he felt himself exhale in content when a certain blonde girl came in. The smile on Dr. Aphrodite's face made him realize he'd rather be with the fierce yet kind doctor than Nurse Ace.

❝ How are you feeling, Firefighter? ❞ The doctor asked, walking over to his IV stand and the other machines, jotting down on her clipboard as she roamed her eyes over the machines and lastly clicking her pen, blue eyes founding brown ones.

Brad sighed out,  ❝ Fine. ❞

The doctor nodded, clicking her pen again as she decided to write more on her paper. Making her way on the other side of Brad's bed, she looked at the other machines and wrote things down. And during those time, Brad decided to seal his lips shut before strings of questions come barreling in.

But the Doctor must have seen through that.  ❝ He said he's never felt so guilty in his life, control was something that Nurse Barry is still trying to master but whenever someone mentions his lonesome self– he just comes crashing down. .  like when the cork of a wine bottle was off and then the contents decided to flood out, you know?   ❞

Brad looked at her, nodding to show that he understood. His gaze went to his clutched hands then went back to the sound of dragging white plastic chair on the side of his bed and the clipboard that was placed besides his covered legs.  ❝ Can I at least know your side of argument? ❞

Brad sighed,  ❝ He mentioned my family. You know how I feel about them, Doc. I still work hard for them to finally find pride in me even though I suspended their wishes of me being an engineer. I'm still working for it, you know? And then he mentioned things, things that frightens me the most when I hear of. ❞

❝ Do you feel sorry for what happened? ❞ Aphrodite asked, eyeing him.

Brad shrugged as the Doctor sighed though oddly, with a snide smile on her face. Leaning back on her own chair as she placed one of her leg on top of the other. Crossing her arms as she shrugged too,  ❝ I put you together so that you can hopefully bond in a good way, I didn't ask you to marry him, Bradley. I asked you to be his friend. ❞
