Chapter 6: The Punishment

Piper's POV

"Nate! Accept her in your group. I don't want to be punished for a damn lame reason. Huwag ka ngang stubborn. And since when ka pa nagreject ng member to be a part of your group. This is the first. Are you insane or something?"

"Sabi nga nila laging may first time sa lahat ng bagay. At ito ang first time ko sa pangrereject, Pipes. Ang astig nga sa pakiramdam nun e. Ang tanggihan ang taong pinag-aagawan ng karamihan. Astig di ba?" Nagawa pa niyang magpatawa ha? He's really crazy.

"Stop this madness, Nate. Ano ba. You're so makulit. It's not that hard to acknowledge her in your group. Just accept her para mag-stop na ang problema nating 'to. Just please accept her." I even used the word please. Sana mapansin niya.

"You know I love you, Pipes, and you're my bestfriend but sorry. My decision is final. Alam mong simula pa lang hindi ko na siya ginustong masali sa grupo ko. Napag-usapan na natin 'to."

Napaisip ako sa sinabi niya. Mukhang desididong desidido na talaga siya. Kung ganun lang naman, I don't think there's still something I could do.

"Okay. I'll just hope the others  made Tamara choose a second group."

"No hard feelings? Hindi ka galit sa akin?" Paninigurado pa niya.

"Nope. I told you before that I'll accept your decisions. We're still bestfriends don't worry."

I failed my mission but it's not nice to force Nate to accept something he doesn't want to accept. It is his right to choose who will be a member of his group. It is not nice to take away that right from him.

I glanced at the other side of the room and hoped that they made Tamara change her mind. Kinakausap siya ni Hailey and I must say I'm quite surprised na hindi pa sila nagsisigawan. Pareparehas matigas ang ulo namin at laging nagclaclash ang ideas namin. Kaya laging nagkakagulo.

Nang tumayo na si Hailey, sign na yun na tapos na silang mag-usap.

"Ano na?" Inis na tanong ni Warren na nakaupo lang sa teacher's table habang pinapaikot ang bola sa daliri niya.

"Hindi pa rin nagbabago desisyon ko. Ayoko pa rin siyang tanggapin sa grupo ko." Sagot ni Nate sa kanya.

"Badtrip."

Napatingin ako kay Tamara at nagkibit-balikat siya nang tingnan ako. "Mukhang wala na kayong magagawa kundi maghanda na lang sa parusa niyo kasi hindi rin nagbago ang isip ko."

I knew it. Hello punishment it is.

Nanlulumo kaming pumunta sa office ng Prefect of Discipline minus Hunter who we left sleeping sa classroom. Mukhang mahimbing naman siya kaya we decided not to wake him up. Ha! Just kidding. First and foremost, it’s not a unanimous decision. It just happened that we had the same idea to walkout of the room after we heard Tamara and Nate’s decisions. Secondly, we decided not to wake him up not because he seems so mahimbing but because we just don’t care.

“Ano ba?! Bakit ba kailangan kasama pa ako?!”

I’m damn tired of this girl’s rants. Kanina pa ‘to ha. This is all her fault anyway. If she already picked in the first place, sana simula palang settled na ang lahat. She has no right to object. Desisyon niya ang magmatigas. Edi siya ang magsabi sa head ng desisyon niya. Who does she think she is? Lahat na lang iaasa sa amin? Lazy bitch.
