"Jyrell, my keys are in that bag," I explained stopping at the steps and turning with my hand out. He started to go in the bag, but I took it from him with a quick jeck. "Thanks for carrying it," I smiled before digging for my key with my good arm. "That's some real gratitude," he laughed. "Leave my friend alone," Kinzy joked, trying to push him, only to get put in a headlock. I chuckled at the two of them and unlocked my door. The moment I walked in, I dropped the bag I was holding and my mouth hit the floor. This... this has to be the wrong house!

I walk into the foyer and look around. The stairs were in the right place, but where did this furniture come from. My feet wouldn't move, due to my shock and then it hit me. Brat had to have been behind this, but how? When I asked the nurse about her she said she was in a coma from being shot herself. "Woah, y'all redecorate," Jyrell walked in and asked? "I didn't," I said baffled by how reconstructed this place looked. "Your roommate payed for all this," Jyrell asked? "No way, she doesn't even have her own car, so I know she ain't buying shit for this place and its not going into her little apartment in the basement," Kinzy spat, walking in as well. She walked into the living room and said, "Damn Ebony, I didn't know you had it like this over here." I walked in behind her and my mouth hit the floor. "When did this get here," I said, astonishment in my voice. It was well decorated, and brightly colored. I moved the chair back against the wall, and felt its softness, before walking the whole living room.

"Hold on, hold on! So you're telling me you didn't have this in here when you left, but now its here, and you dont know where you got it from," Kinzy asked, finally understanding my own confusion. "Exactly," I exhaled, in thought. "Well it looks like you've walked into the wrong house, and since we're all black, we're going to jail which is sad because orange is not my color," Kinzy flopped down onto the sofa. "Oh my God, but I am melting into this sofa," she sighed in happiness. I rolled my eyes and for a small second wondered if I was in the wrong house? No, that can't be, everything was in the same place, it was only the decorations and furniture that was different. "Jyrell," I screamed. "What," he hollered back from upstairs? I took the stairs two at a time, hearing Nikko tell me to slow down. I rushed into my room and stopped again in shock. Even my room was equipped with a whole new decor. The flat screen tv above the dresser had to be bigger then any tv I've ever owned.

My face grew hot as I looked around. "Jyrell, please tell me you didn't do this," I exclaimed upset. "What?! Hell no, you're like a sister Ebony, but shit I wouldn't even do this for my sister. I mean if I had one," he said honestly. I sat on my bed dumbfounded, wondering why something good like this would just happen to me. Nikko walked in behind all of us, and asked,"So you like the place?"

I looked up at him, and our eyes connected. "Did you...," I started, but he shook his head no. "I didn't do this, I just payed for it," he responded. Isn't that the same thing? My hands flew up to my mouth in shock. I'd never had a man do something like this for me, it was... heart wrenching. "Wow, Nikko I didn't think you cared," Kinzy said dumb founded. ""Did I say I did," he chuckled. "Don't get to thinking with those feelings of your's," Nikko continued. " I hope this can make up for that time I broke into your place, so we can move on, on good terms. I don't want you to be one of those evil baby mother's, even though it wouldn't become you, but obviously there's a lot we don't know about each other yet,"  He tried to explain the reason behind him doing what he did. Either way, it was the nicest thing a guy's ever done for me.

I looked over at Jyrell, whose eyes went wide. "You were the one who broke into Eb's house," Jyrell asked, making us recall he'd been left out of the loop. Before he could question Nikko more, his phone went off. "Hello," Jyrell answered not looking at his phone before answering but starring at an uninterested Nikko. There was yelling on the other end of the phone that sounded like a woman. "Wait, mom slow down," Jyrell said, breaking his glare from Nikko and running out the door, Kinzy was right behind him. It didn't have to be serious but, Kinzy was going no matter what the reason. I started for the door as well, but Nikko stopped me. "Nah, where are you going," he asked? I tried to remove his arm from my waist but he held me there. "I'm going with them to make sure every things alright," I replied but Nikko wasn't having it. I placed my hands on my hip and tilted my head.
