7 - [Not Just The] Same Mistakes

I can feel my cheeks heating up a litte as I try to form words to reply myself. "I, uh, usually go to Harry because he listens and makes my favourite tea for me when I'm upset," I somehow manage to say, my mind going back to the night of our last meeting with management. 

"Yeah, I would have to say Zayn or Niall because, as Harry said, Zayn can be deep and has a lot to say. Niall, on the other hand, comforts me without saying a word and always knows how to keep me from going mad," Liam finally responds.

'Okay! Our last question is from @PrincessHoran*: "does Niall actually have a crush on Demi Lovato?"'   None of us really know what to say until Niall speaks up: "I think Demi is a lovely young lady, but my heart belongs to another."

Oh shit. Did he seriously just tell the world that he likes somebody else? My mind starts racing as the interviewers try to understand what they just heard. Well, Marc seems to be struggling with the new information, but Charlotte just has a mischievous smirk on her face.

"And who might that be?" Charlotte asks.

Niall hesitates only a moment before blurting out one word: "Food!" His face is slowly turning darker shades of pink as he listens to the audience laughing, or in some cases booing. Apparently they wanted to know the actual answer to that question.

Marc just shakes his head and chuckles before starting to talk again: "Well, there you have it folks. One Direction's Niall Horan admits to not being romantically involved with Demi Lovato. You heard it here first-"

"-on UKTV London. See you next week when we welcome The Wanted onto our stage!" Charlotte finishes.

The audience clap as we make our way off the stage and I see Abby waving at Zayn. He waves back and then joins us as we make our way backstage where we encounter Paul.

"Van. Now," is all Paul says, his voice sounding annoyed.

We all grab our things and hurry out, unsure as to the cause of Paul's attitude. Thankfully, our fans let us through without too much commotion today because it started pouring rain while we were inside.

"What's happening?" Liam asks Paul as he takes the front passenger seat. Why is Liam not sitting by Niall?

"Yeah, vas happenin'?" Zayn is quick to add, causing a round of light laughter from the rest of us lads. Paul, on the other hand, is not amused.

"Management called. Will sounded less than happy with the results of your interview," Paul explains as he peels out of the parking lot.

"Sorry," Niall mumbles, his face red with tears starting to form in his eyes. Liam reaches a hand back and pats his knee, trying to comfort him from the front seat. If he had just sat by Niall this would be easier...

Paul sighs and shakes his head slightly. "You don't have to apologize to me, son. You know I support your relationship one hundred percent, but if I want to keep my job-which I do-I need to keep you all out of trouble. Even if that means taking management's side."

I decide to stop listening in on that conversation and chat with Harry, since he's in the backseat with me. Zayn took the seat by Nialler in the middle. "Hey Haz," I whisper just loud enough for him to hear.

"Yeah?"

"Have you noticed anything strange going on with Li and Niall?" I inquire, wondering if I'm the only one who has noticed Liam acting awkward around Niall since getting back from his trip.

"I noticed, too. It's like Liam doesn't know how to act around his own boyfriend anymore," Harry replies, pursing his lips a bit.

"Do you think something happened while Li was in Florida?" I ask after thinking about the possibilities for a few moments.
