After the awkward meeting, uncomfortable laughs, then avoiding eye contact with each other, I decided to slip away quickly and text Courtney the address. I needed a familiar face, that wasn't about to piss their pants laughing at the fact I had just made out with Dakota, then found out she was my roommate no less then a minute later. Don't get me wrong, I didn't regret it at all, but I would have like to know she was my roommate before it happened.

I looked up from my phone, observing the crowd. I couldn't help but to glance from crowd to crowd, and realizing that I didn't feel like being around any of them. I walked into the kitchen and poured myself another drink before I noticed Dakota standing off to the side by herself. I hurriedly gulped down my drink, fixed myself another, then walked over to her.

"Might not be the way you planned to meet your new roommate, but it will definitely be an unforgettable impression on both of us." I leant against the wall next to Dakota and gave her a small smirk. She left out a heavy laugh, and I noticed her deep dimples, making her smile instantly infectious.

"You're right." She sipped on the drink in her hand. "It's definitely the most memorable first impression I've had with anyone so far." I swallowed more of my drink.

"Well, it doesn't have to be the last memorable impression we could leave on each other." I made eye contact with Dakota's hazel eyes. My slight buzz filled most of my head, and if asked I would blame that lame line on the alcohol.

Dakota's expression changed and I could see her bitting the corner of her lip. She leant against me, placing her hand on my shoulder. Her hand was only making contact over my jacket, but I could still feel the chills travel through every nerve in my body.

"That sounds like the best way to get to know each other." Her warm breath flowed over my ear and neck, intoxicating me instantly. The chills disappeared and all I could feel was the heat rising throughout my body and face. I bit my lip, trying to hide my excitement.

"Dani!" I heard the loud squeal and looked up to meet Courtney's beaming face. She wrapped her arms around me pulling me into a tight hug. Separating mine and Dakota's body.

Dammit, why now?

"Hey Courtney, this is the new roommate, Dakota." I pointed them to each other. "This is my coworker, Courtney." I stood awkwardly after the greeting, I hadn't exactly imagined my night going this way just a minute ago. Though I had never expected Courtney to do this, I suddenly knew why I had always avoided her invitations to hang out now.

"It was nice meeting you. Dani I'm gonna go ahead and let you hang out with Courtney here." She patted her hand on my shoulder.

"Oh no you don't have-" She was already walking off, I cursed Courtney silently once more.

"Hope you're not drunk yet, I would love a partner for the drinking games." Courtney's smile still spread from ear to ear, I couldn't stay mad at her she didn't intentionally do anything.

"Oh no I'm ready, just getting started." I swallowed the rest of my drink as she grabbed my hand pulling me to the closest beer pong table. At least I would be getting drunk tonight.

----

My eyes peeled apart slowly, and I felt the stinging of the light from the sun attack my hangover. I felt every muscle in my body ache, my head pounding, the awful taste in my mouth, and I still felt like I could sleep another twelve hours. My entire body screamed out for mercy. I groaned pushing my hair off my face, what all happened last night? I looked around, realizing I was in my room and in my unaccompanied bed thankfully.

I shed the clothes I was still wearing from last night, not bothering to put anything else on. I was in my room so there was no need to get up except for water, but I wasn't worried about it right now. I grabbed my fleece blanket cocooning myself in it, only leaving my face unwrapped. I pushed myself against the wall and snuggled my head against the pillow.

I closed my eyes ready to get some more sleep, but before I could drift off back to sleep I heard my door open.

"Hey Dani." I lifted my head and saw Dakota standing in my doorway.

"You can come in." I laid my head back on the pillow. She walked in and sat down on the side of my bed. She put a couple bottles of water on my bed side table along with some aspirin.

"I woke up and didn't feel too good, then I remembered how much you had to drink last night and knew you needed more water and aspirin then I did." She smiled soft and looked down to her feet. She was so cute, even straight out of bed with a hangover.

"I'm glad someone knows how much I drank last night, I don't remember much after the second game of beer pong."I sat up shaking some aspirin into my hand and grabbing a bottle of water. Dakota gave me a soft laugh.

"Well there was a few more games of beer pong and I think you and Courtney ended up passing out around 4 this morning." She looked from the floor back up to me. "Henry snuck off with some guy at maybe 2? Courtney left like an hour ago, she wanted me to thank you for inviting her." I caught a glimpse of Dakota's dimples, then they disappeared back in her cheeks.

"Thank you for the water and aspirin." I smiled and laid back down, cocooning myself back in my blanket.

"No problem, Dani" She stood up from my bad and headed out the door, and I couldn't help but to watch her the whole way. Her figure was amazing and the way her hips swayed side to side, I bit my lip. Dakota turned around and caught me starring, I shut my eyes and I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks.

I was admiring her, and I got caught, wasn't that some form of a compliment?
