A sudden outburst sounded throughout the crew as I turned to figure out what the commotion was I spotted a beastly shadow cloaked in the foliage of the bushes. "Captin!" Tom alerted, forcing the crew to back away from the beast. I slowly rose taking out my pocket knife and creeping over to Tom's side, the beast slowly lurking towards us.
"Get the supplies and seek refuge," I instructed, closely watching the beast. Within movements, the beast was before in all its glory.
"Captin, be careful," Tom pleaded, I nodded, standing my ground. Within the next moment, I was tackled to the ground, the large beast pinning me down. Now engulfed in light, the beast wasn't like any creature I've seen before. It's scale-like skin covered it's full-body, leading up to, two devil-like horns that cast shadows over its bloodshot eyes. Its sharp claws piercing my skin as I struggled underneath its weight...
A deafening screech that erupted from the creature rang in my ears as the force dispersed and the creature went limp. Throwing it away I rose to my feet and dusted off my shorts looking up at Tom who held a blood-soaked dagger. "I told ye to seek refuge!" I declared.
"I wasn't gonna leave ye," Tom replied.
