Write Us As Fate

Because of you,
I've loved and hated,
Myself and the world,
And willed an "us" to be fated,

Seemed right then,
Still does, after all,
My heart loses not its will,
Can't restrict by building a wall,

So just ease it for me,
Be my one and only for life,
And the one I spend after with,
Together through wretched plights,

We may plant this tree,
Watch it grow together,
With hearts of gold,
Wrapped up in leather,

Not for appearances,
But for what lies inside,
A strong connection,
Should but not need hide,

And walk alongside,
Through a hydrangea garden,
And gaze into each other's eyes,
Ask love loathers to pardon,

Then laugh it off,
Without a care,
Content in arms,
Each other's, paired,

And to think of the other,
Even when we're apart,
And favour and mention,
Above all, piece of my heart,

And after those days,
Long and weary and tiring,
May lay under stars,
Hands joined, fireworks firing,

And we'll create constellations,
Of giraffes and thick elephant trunks,
And run away when the property owner,
Screams at us trespassing punks,

And we'll laugh again,
I'll carry joy to you,
In heavy loads everyday,
To light up my own view.
