"I gotta do my breathing stuff, I normally do it in my room. You can come to hang out with me, it's my sit on the floor party. Normally for two but the floor can fit three." I smiled at Brendon, he chuckled at me.
"Looks like we are gonna party then." He smiled and gave me his elbow, I laughed and took it.
"Such a gentleman can I say," I smirked at him, holding onto his arm.
"What can I say, I'm just a good guy." Brendon complimented himself, I chuckled.
"But of course, a beautiful lady like you only deserve the best of a gentleman." I blushed at what he said. Pluto barked at us, and I laughed.
"Yeah baby, I guess he is trying to steal your job." I laughed, Pluto barked back at me.
"I know, I know baby. It's okay, come on." It funny we argue like this a lot.
"You two always arguing like that?" Brendon asked.
"Nope, but Mr. Diva over here is dramatic. He likes picking a fight, don't you P?" I cooed, Pluto finally got up and started walking over to the two of us.
"There we go." We both chuckled in unison and started walking to my room. We walked into my room, I used to the bed frame and other furniture as a railing to help me get around.
"Ideally I would have a railing around this room, or I'd do this all together somewhere else," I commented collect the things I will need.
"Why don't you do this stuff somewhere else then?" Brendon question respectfully, I sighed.
"Well I have periods where I am bedridden, I was for most of last year. So it is easier to have it on my bed. Or sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night coughing and I end up needing it." I hate that I have this problem, I just wish my body could function. I leaned on my bed and pulled over my nebulizer, placed it next to me, and grabbed a unit dose of albuterol. Then I opened up the cup and poured the medicine in.
"So what is all this?" Brendon smiled, I chuckled as I forgot to explain.
"Well, this is a nebulizer," Placing my hands in the compressor. "This basically turns the liquid into a mist. This is a medication, Albuterol. I've been on this probably for a year. It opens up your lungs and helps with coughing and wheezing." I explained, Brendon followed along vigilantly. That made me happy, he's interested. I then turned the compressor on, placed the mouthpiece in my mouth and started taking deep breaths.
"How many hours does it take you to get ready in the morning?" He asked I laughed.
"Well let's just say I don't get out much." I started holding the mouthpiece between my fingers.
"Last night was my first night out in maybe two weeks?" I shyly smiled.
"Really? You're kidding, how do you live like that?" Brendon jaw dropped, I chuckled.
"I have Mack who comes over almost every day after work, I have a home health care aid or home nurse who comes three days a week. I take Pluto out in the back or Mack will. It's not like I'm a shut-in or something!" I laughed, I guess you can consider me kinda a shut-in but not in away.
"I would go nuts, I love touring too much to stay at home for more than a month." He responded, I hummed over the respirator in response and nodded. We sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes.
"What's your dream? Like you know bucket list things..." Brendon asked, tough question. Bucket list, I had a therapist who tried to get me to make one of those once.
"Well you know the normal things like fall in love, get married, be Mackenzie's maid of honor. One of my bucket list items was going to a Panic show and meeting you." I chuckled shyly.
"What's like one big thing you wanna do for yourself? Like I want to own a music label one day. Sometimes for you." His question made me think, something to do for myself? Then it hit me.
"Go to Hawaii. My parents promised that when Mack and I graduated college they would pay for the trip for her and me. But all that money went to medical stuff. But one day." I sighed, I could just imagine being off all my meds having no medical treatment and swimming all day, lying in the sun without a care in the world.
"That would be cool. I've been before, not for long, but for shows and stuff. It's beautiful." I can just imagine it; the sun, sand, water. I smiled.
"You look beautiful." Brendon cooed, I chuckled looking down at my outfit. Still in my pajamas and my hair a mess.
"You look good yourself too... bro." I laughed lightly punching his arm.
"Thanks... bro." He lightly punched my arm back, Pluto jumped up and barked.
"It's okay, at ease buddy." I giggled patting his head. We both laughed at Pluto, my blonde boy.
"He's a funny dog." Brendon comment, I nodded.
"Always has been," I replied.
"What's his story? Do you know it?" He asked I laughed.
"He has a crazy story like mine. So he was originally being trained to be a police k-9 but they said he was too nice," I cooed the last part petting Pluto's face. "But he follows directly so well they moved him into a service animal training program. The rest is kinda history. I named him Pluto because he was kinda the odd one out, I guess maybe we were meant for each other... huh bud?" I giggled Pluto barked, jumping a little.
"He's a goofball." Brendon laughed, fuck. His smile, that laugh so fucking dreamy.
