My love is too sanctified!

By Mellisa Walker

My love is too sanctified,
To be abused and misused.
By your echoing voice of drunken laughter and your misguided tongue;
Where deep, deep inside me your words sunk and stung.

My love is too sanctified!
To be mistaken as though it existed only between my thighs.
And left alone lonely! Oh so lonely at nights, Oh let my santified love rest.
As a cub and don't! Dont you dare put the lion to the test.

My love is too sanctified!
To be neglected.
Oh how I would stand in the rain; wet, so wet and rejected.
Damp from the rain and wet from my tears or should I say drenched, so drenched!
My santified love is sick from the rain and a thirst that is never quenched.

My love is too sanctified, I said too sanctified!
To be messed up and defiled!
No! Oh no! I'm sick of the apologies, of the oh I'm so sorry;
Ah yes the right words, Am sorry too.

My love is too sanctified!
To be always sorry and empty and..... and ...
Now my santified love is left, left;
By you who gave so many promises of a wedding band.  ( shows hand, where is it now?)

Lord my love is too sanctified, yes too santified;
To be raped by the eyes of a well dressed wolf.
Lord my love is too sanctified!
So now I humbly bow and wait at your feet.
