Boruto : the future

Few days of freedom

Since you guys wanted me to update so badly...here it is

The last few months of freedom that Boruto had were uneventful, the biggest highlight would me the mission he had to take with Sarada and Mitsuki
It was nothing special just a mission to pick up a few scrolls from some near by villages and deliver them to the some other village

Flash back 3 weeks ago from present date
Boruto had been summoned to the Hokage's office, Boruto quickly teleported into the office and was a little surprised to see his fellow jonin to be there
"Hokage-Sama" greatest Boruto, Naruto just nodded in acknowledgment
"Thank you as the chunnin exams and jonin exams are fast approaching most genin as well as chunnin have been taken off active duty, they are currently some where in the forest or training veils training and this means that you join a will be taking care of these missions, do you understand?"
A chorus of "hai!" Was heard, Naruto began calling out names and assigning assignments, slowly the number of jonin in the room decreased  until the only ones left in the room was the now disband team 7
"Boruto, I know you prefer to work alone and don't take on anything lover then B-rank but this particular assignment requires for a team" spoke Naruto, Boruto knowing this would happen sooner then later just nodded and said "what's the assignment?"
"Orochimaru has a scroll, I want you to pick it up and take it to the wave, afterwards take the reply to the hidden cloud village then that scroll I want you to bring it to the village, the last scroll you will be delivering will come with an entourage"  explained Naruto
Boruto gave a moment then nodded before asking, "will Konohamaru-san be lead the team?"
To which Naruto nodded
Boruto nodded at his father before turning to the team and speaking to Konohamaru, "When are we leaving?"
Konohamaru looked at Boruto and said "if you all are ready let's leave"
Boruto nodded at the team and said "I'll see you all in the hidden cloud to make our final escort" before he pulled out a hiraishin kunai and disappeared in a flash of white

Boruto appeared just outside orochimaru's cave, he walked in and saw Jugo leaning against the wall not far from the entrance
"Hello Boruto-kun, Unfortunately Boruto-kun orochimaru-Sama is not feeling well so he requested me to handle this case" Said Jugo holding out is hand to receive the scroll
Boruto nodded before hand overlong the scroll, Jugo took a moment to go through the content and smiled, then he reached behind him and took a purple scroll, Boruto took the scroll and turned to leave but as he began he said "Thank you, and please give the old snake my regards and that I wish him a quick recovery" and walked out the cave not acknowledging whether Jugo heard or not
Boruto came out to the light and trotted to a jog before slowly gaining speed until he was nearly invisible to even the most trained eye, he years of script training under Sasuke and two years of perfecting them had allowed him to move at this speed with out producing too much noise or effort
He moved at this speed continuously for nearly half the day, he had crossed the sea between the land of fire and land of water
He would see the outline of the bridge that connected the county of wave to the main land, "should I head for the main land and rest and stay there for the day or head straight for wave?" Thought the blond blur
As he neared the bridge Boruto began to slow down to low jonin speed and ran up one of the supporting pillars and jumped on top of the light post, he looked both side in thought and decided to just get the mission done and over with
He jumped down to the concrete and Bagan walking towards wave country

The sun was beginning to descend, Boruto walked through the small village towards the village's chief's house, he had eaten some ramen after entering the village so his hunger was satisfied now the thought that looked through his mind was that if it was too late to meet the chief as it was getting dark and fast
Boruto arrived at the chiefs house which he noticed was well maintained, and looked a little more lavish and spacious compared to the other homes, Boruto knocked on the door and he heard rapid yet soft foot steps and suddenly the door yanked open, infront of him stood a little girl not much younger then Yumi, she had dark brown hair in a braided pony tail and black eyes, she wore a t-shirt which had the words "Mama's angel" written on it along with a pair of black jeans
"Can I help you mister?" Asked the little girl
Boruto nodded and began speaking, "I was hoping to meet the..." But was interrupted by a feminine voice, "Mikito-chan? Whose that at the door?" And a few seconds later the owner of the voice came into view, she was a brunette with dark black hair cut in layers, she wore a long sleeve red T-shirt with black horizontal stripes and a pair of white pants
She walked behind the little girl now dubbed Mikito and put her hands on her shoulders
"May we help you?" Asked the woman
Boruto reaches behind him and spoke, "I'm on a mission and I have been asked to deliver some scrolls and get their replies so I was hoping to meet the chief to give him this scroll and get his reply as soon as possible"
"Unfortunately my mother-in-law is away as is my husband but they will be back for dinner so if it isn't an inconvenience you will have to wait for them, I'm terribly sorry" Said the women as she relaxed knowing that they were in no danger
"I don't mind at all" Said Boruto as he turned to leave and return after dinner time but was stopped when the women spoke again, "I don't mind if you come in, it won't be long before their back" and made space for him to enter the house
Boruto turned and offered a smile before he turned and walked to the house as the women and the silent girl closed the door and waited for Boruto to take off his shoes
He removed his shoes and stood up before he gestured to her to lead the way, he followed her through the house and came out to an open ground, the house was built like a traditional Japanese mansion, in the centre was a large koi pond and a open field to train, he followed the woman to a room with a dinning table, large enough to accommodate around 6 to 7 people
He sat down on one of the cushions near the table, after he sat down the women asked if she could get him anything and Boruto told her he was fine, she soon left after that
A few moments later he saw mikito enter the room, she sat down opposite to him with grace he was not expecting from one so young, he looked at the door and saw the women walk in carrying a tray that held food for a traditional Japanese dinner as she started setting the table, he did not have to wait long before he heard two voice announcing the arrival of the chief and another female, the little girl and the women left to greet the two
A "Welcome home husband, welcome home kaa-san" was heard from the women
"Welcome home oto-Sama, welcome home grandma" was heard from the girl
Boruto noticed that the woman and little girl had no warmth in their voice when they greeted the man but did when they did the feminine voice
A few seconds later four figures walked into the dinning room and saw Boruto, the first one to say something was the man
"You are you?! Get out of my house!"
Boruto just looked at the man, he was most probably in his late thirties with hair slicked back, wearing a yukata
The older women next to him pinched his thigh and quickly bowed to him and said, "lord Boruto, it is wonderful to have you"
"Lord Boruto?" Asked he man
"Yes husband, that man is the strongest shinobi in the elemental nations, and he is here on a mission to talks to kaa-san"
The man stared at Boruto, "him? he doesn't look so tough, I'm pretty I can beat him up in my sleep"
Boruto just ignored the man and looked at the woman behind the man and said, "seeing how you son behaves I'm guessing you are the chief? If you are I have a scroll for you that I need your reply to", the man did not take it lightly for being ignored but one look from his mother froze him in his tracks
The woman nodded and sat down at the table directly opposite to Boruto, "but I think it would be best for us to handle business after dinner, don't you agree?" Spoke the lady
"We know who you are so it's only fitting you know your names, I am kasumi izunaabi, I am the current chief of the village, to my left is my son ibiki izunaabi and his wife mikato and daughter mikito izunaabi" introduced the chief
Boruto nodded and spoke, "pleasure to meet you all"
And with that they began dinner, it was quiet and long, soon everyone had finished and mikato stood up and began clearing the table,
She picked up all the plates and put them on a tray before taking them to the kitchen to wash them followed by mikito
Boruto pulled a scroll from his pack and handed it over to the chief who took it from his hand and gently opened it, she read through the content and was pleased with what ever the content was
The elderly chief stood up and walked into the next room, only a moment later the chief came back and handed him the scroll, Boruto took the scroll and put it in his weapons pouch, he stood up and spoke, "I shall be leading my self out" and began moving but not towards the door but towards the direction he felt mikato's presence
He walked in an softly spoke, "mikato-san...", she jumped slightly and turned around seeing the blond jonin mikato turned off the water and  called over for her daughter who instantly went to her mother before putting her arms around her waist, the mikato gave him her attention, "may I help you?"
Boruto shook his head and sadly spoke, "ibiki is not the man you once loved is he? He's not the father he once was is he?"
The mother shook her head with a frown, "he was such a good man before, but now..." at this point she was at tears
"Mommy..." Said the little girl as she hugged her mother
Seeing the state the mother was in any person with a heart would sympathise, Boruto walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder as an act of comfort, Boruto teaches behind him and pulled out a tri-pong kunai before saying "you are the only person who can decide what's best for your self as well as you daughter, if things escalate leave him. If he gets violent stab this into the ground and I'll be there to save you and your daughter from any danger, if you are able to leave him with out violence then go to the hidden leaf villag and tell the guards at the gate that your a friend of mine and wish an audition with the Hokage, once you meet him show him the kunai, he will give you an monthly allowance and protection from your husband if needed that I promise on my honour" handing over the tri-pong kunai
The broken mother gently took the kunai and held it to her chest, then Boruto looked at the little girl hugging her mother and asked, "can you do that mikito-chan? Will you take that kunai and throw it onto the ground if your father is hurting your mommy?"
The little girl with a determined look on her face nodded
Boruto smiled and said "if you need anything else feel free to contact me" before leaving

Boruto walked out of the house and saw the only Male in the house, he was from the looks of it fuming, his face was red, "what have you done to my beloved wife you piece o..", he could not finish before the wind from his lungs were gone, he well to the floor clutching his stomach, Boruto looked at him with disgust, "I hate men like you, men who abuse their power, she's your beloved wife when another man speaks to her, you think she's cheating on you just because she received comfort for all the bruises and cuts you put on her and for what?! because she wouldn't strip down and blow you in the middle of the day when she has to clean the house and put food in you stomach while raising a child on her own which you and her has to both play a part in but your out in the village flirting with younger women and if they don't agree to sleep with you, you tell them you'll use your power to take their family business from them and you force them to sleep with you, to oblige to all your dirty fantasies, that's the exact reason why your mother hasn't given you the position of chief to you yet, because she knows that if she have you that power this village with fall lower then it was under the fear of Gato" spoke Boruto with a scowl and began walking to the gate but just as he was about to exit the grounds he spoke, "and if you as much as touch you wife as an act of abuse I'll tear the very thing that makes you a man and shove it down your throat and hand you buck naked in the middle of town because both your wife and child as well has your mother are under my protection, you have been warned"
With that being said Boruto disappeared in a flash of black

Boruto reappeared out side the the village near the bridge, the sun had set and the moon was in the middle of the sky and the stars were shining brightly, Boruto slowly began walking towards the main land, as he walked across the bridge he saw couples both young and old, with children and without children, the sight of the young couples with their children brought a smile to his face, the thought of how happy he would have been if Sarada had not done what she had done, "holding onto the past will only make you weaker, you have to move on to become stronger" thought Boruto continuing his walk

Boruto went into the nearby town and picked one of the more common looking hotels, he walked in and saw an elderly lady at the counter writing down what seemed to be the nights guests, Boruto walked up to the counter and patiently waited until the woman finished what she was doing
The woman finished and closed up book before looking up, she jumped back in surprise before relaxing and speaking, "please don't do that ever again my sweet boy, you all most stole the few years I have left" with a sweet smile
Boruto returned the smile, "I apologise but I was hoping for a room to stay the night"
The lady smiled, "certainly young man, one of the more larger rooms are available and I have made more then enough money today so I'll let you stay the night for free"
"Thank you kind elder" Replied Boruto
"No need to thank me, I know that your youngsters need the money" spoke the elder with a chuckle
Boruto just smiled to this before the elderly woman put a key on the counter top and said, "go down the hall, once it opens up go left and it would be the fourth room"
Boruto nodded before turning and walking into the hall, Boruto went down the hall and it opened up to a large open space, there was a large koi pond and around it were what looked like hand weaved mats, Boruto went night and continued walking until the forth door
The door was a traditional Japanese door, he slide it open and saw a normal sized room, the room not much larger then the Hokage's office, there was a window and a futon in the middle of the room, there was a small closet in the corner
Boruto walked in and closed the door, putting down the sword on his hip Boruto stripped out of his shirt and laid down before drifting of into ya dreamless sleep

The next morning Boruto woke up at the break of dawn, putting on his cloths he walked out of the room and headed to the reception, he put the key on the counter top and some cash under it as a tip and left
He walked out of the hotel and hiraishined

He next appeared in top of the Raikage tower, he began descending the stairs, he entered the Raikage's chamber and saw the white moustached man grunting and mumbling about hating paperwork, Boruto shook his head and threw the mission scroll at the man who caught it with out looking up but nodded non the less and Boruto left the room with out a word, he began walking to wards the village gate to check if his team had arrived, arriving at the gate Boruto spoke "hey guys had a team from konoha arrived in the village?"
One of the guards looked up and saw Boruto and took out a log book and went through it before checking the computer and Replied, "a team of three jonin entered the village about dusk yesterday, they seem to be staying at the cloud lounge"
Boruto nodded, "thanks, keep up the good work" and began walking away, Boruto walked through town and saw the cloud lounge, his team had just come out and were about to walk away when Boruto called them, "I see you have arrived" spoke Boruto
Konohamaru turned and nodded before he spoke, "seems like the team is full, shall we gather out things and get the escort?"
Boruto nodded, "lets, however I would like to take a shower and get a change of clothing"
The rest of the team nodded and they went into the lounge to get their things to leave

Boruto had freshened up as well as gotten some fresh clothing, the team walked into the raikage mansion compound and saw, the escort
A group of five, one female with four male guards, Boruto walked up to them, "I believe we are your escorts so shall we head out?", the female nodded and the group stood up to move when the raikage spoke, "I see you have met your escorts, and princess Ukyo you are in very capable hands, they will get your to the village hidden in the leafs unharmed"
The lightning shadow started at the konoha team and said, "right?", the group with an exception of Boruto nodded quickly while Boruto sighed and began walking away

The trip to the village was boring, it was...quiet...very quiet, just when Boruto least expected it he heard movement in the bushes and in the tree tops, Boruto stopped and the rest of the entourage soon stopped, before they could ask Boruto spoke, "we're surrounded"
And that was when there was a clapping sound from around them, around of close to 25 people came out of the bushes
"Very good Boruto-san" spoke one of the larger men
Boruto drew his blade then re-sheath the blade, no body moved for a second then the head of six of the men fell off, one of the men charged at Boruto from behind him only to be slung over his shoulder and head flushed by a knee
Then all hell broke lose, Boruto just stood there letting the men come to him, and elbowed or sweeping the legs under a persons feet ever so often, Boruto felt a presence behind him, quickly making a rasengan Boruto shoves it into the man's stomach and sending him crashing into another man

The fight went on for nearly half an hour before things settle down, the princess had not moved or looked around at all her eyes where facing her front, Sarada was checking everyone for injuries and even though Boruto didn't have a scratch on him Sarada had used the chance to feel him up and ever since then she had a huge blush on her face
Boruto looked around and sighed for seemed like the hundredth time that day and began walking towards the village while thinking if he was spending the last few months of freedom the way he should
The entourage travelled through the day into the night and into the next morning, at the sight of first light the gates of the village were visible
They walked into the village after checking in and Boruto with very heavy eyes looked at Konohamaru, "I'll report to the Hokage and get them settled, you guys got home and rest you deserve it
With out another argument Boruto leapt to the trees and began running toward home

Boruto thought about that time and smiled, mikito and mikato had come to the village a few days after that mission and now they were happily living in the village, Boruto sighed as he looked at the sun set on the final day of his days of freedom
