a story rant: maybe

everyone writes stories, with complicated plots, compelling characters with interesting attitudes, whatever appeals to them, or to what they think others will find interesting,

but not what an average person would do, or anything normal, per se.

some stories could average people living a normal life, maybe in the suburbs, in a city not to big, but not to small, with a downtown, some crime and a average population of a million people.

or, a the perspective of someone average, let's say, in a third world country, where they live everyday like it's their last, because at any given moment, anything could happen.

and that's just in general.

but these stories,

are never,

normal.

they always have a twist element, or just an element.

in the suburb story, someone could have passed away, or, a classic high school drama story.

in the third world country story, a disease could have infected the water and a disease rids among them.

nothing about average problems of anyone in particular. school, family, friends, life. sure, stories include these aspects, but never just an average person.

whether they be female, male, nonbinary, Muslim, Christian, African, American, Asian, Norwegian, no matter the possibilities or varieties,

nothing completely without just an average day.

days can be shitty with tense emotion, days can be good, maybe a good one in a while, or maybe a day where they finally don't cry, for once.

so maybe a story can be average, but maybe they'll always have a twist, or an element, or a shocker, or a little something just to get attention or a reaction.

but then again, nothing is set in stone.
