restless nights,
wasted nights,
relentless restlessness,
when I should've and could've slept,
when I should've and could've caught up on what was important,
when I should've and could've spent my time on projects or work that largely impacted my grade,
all just to be wasted
for a mere response
you never gave me.
how foolish I am,
and how foolish that I'll still wait
even though it's clearly not worth it as of now,
but when I get what I wait so long for,
it certainly will be.
but that's just a foolish fantasy
not a dab of reality.
