The ball was today and we had the whole day off which Lily thought was good as 'we had to look our best' I thought about wearing jeans and a T-shirt but nooo I had to wear a dress. I rolled my eyes as Alice, Katie and Lily started getting ready while I sat on my bed gazing at the rose I had been given by Sirius, it was beautiful and a note was attached;
Rose,
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I'm not good at poetry,
But I love you.
No amount of roses can prove that, this will stay full until the day I die because up to that day I will love you. Though this is beautiful there is something I have which is more so and that is you.

I blushed as I read it again, Lily looked over and rolled her eyes before glancing at the rose again with the other girls. I looked at them with a smile a snowy owl delivered it this morning at breakfast every body had stopped to look at it as it flew in and landed in front of me. "Time to get read Rose!" Lily exclaimed jumping up and down, and soon we were all ready. "You guys go first, I'll be down in a second!" I say they nod and leave.
Sirius:
We waited at the bottom of the grand staircase when the girls appeared well Lily, Katie and Alice, I couldn't see Rose. Lily walked over as the girls left to there dates "Rose will be down in a second wait till you see her!" Lily says. James takes her hand and we all wait until there are gasps and whispers, I look up to see her waiting and looking breathtaking before walking down with a carefree smile. I bow and take her hand which she takes and we head into the great hall, earning stares and jaw drops. Boys look envied at me, the girls where smiling at her as if they knew something.
