she tried to keep her promise; but it was hard for her. so she decided to do the only thing that helped her in a way. she fought with him. she got angry at him, she yelled at him, she cursed at him, she "hated" him, she insulted him, she insulted his family and his friends, she hid all of her tears as she hated herself for acting this way.
it was hard for her. but, it was probably harder for him to see his friend all of a sudden "hate" him.
but then again, he didn't know that she liked him so what's better than to just make him hate her?
