It's me again God,

Lent seems to have been a really valuable time of preparation and with just ten days until Good Friday, I just want to begin today by reflecting over what I have been letting go of during this time........................................., ways I have been entering into all that You have for me................................................., how I am nourishing my heart, soul and mind...................................................... and what I have been thankful for..........................................................

I just want to be ready for this very special time in our Christian calendar. I want to be focussed and able to share in all You have for me. Help me to continue to draw closer to You and may my life be increasingly more about You and less about me.

Please continue to show me areas of my life where I need to let go of things that are not helpful to me or would cause another to stumble. Jesus, You spoke very strongly about this, especially in regard to the "little ones" or those new believers. Your love for them and desire that they be protected is very clear:

""If anyone causes one of these little ones-those who believe in me-to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea. If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out.

And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.

And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where "'the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.' Everyone will be salted with fire. "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.""
‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:42-43, 45, 47-50‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord help me to continue to examine the way I live. May I have the qualities of salt amongst others -salt that does not ever lose its saltiness! Out of my heart and by Your Spirit, may words flow that season and preserve the peace in my relationships and always bring the truth of Your gospel to all!

For Your glory,
Amen.
