"He really did care about you, Sienna. I saw it with my own two eyes," her words were nothing, but defenseless.
"Christina, it's over. I can't keep having this constant feeling that he'll come back into my life— it's been over a year where he's still been present in my thoughts without any contact. Maybe, this is the universe's way of tell us we were never truly right for each other."
"Or maybe, it's the universe's way of seeing how strong your bond is. You and Dani have faced so much together— are you really going to give it up now?" Christina's voice filled a void in my mind.
It went quiet for a moment. Not silent, but quiet. I could hear the sound of traffic outside the doors of the hotel and Christina's rapid breathing as she was waiting for my response. It was a peaceful quiet, a quiet where ideas are able to flood my brain and make a decision.
"Daniel has his choice, and now, I do too," I stood up and grabbed my small purse before glancing at the mirror one last time. I didn't look or feel the best, but it was good enough for a plain movie.
I closed my eyes before saying, "But Christina, is it really love when I find myself being constantly pulled away from him?"
"Ask yourself that question, Sienna, and you'll find out."
"I love you Christina, really I do, but please don't try and place cupid when the pieces have already fallen apart," I sighed before stepping towards the door. She was trying to help, but it just hurt more talking about him— it just hurt more being reminded that he moved on easily because now, I'm still left here one year later with an unfinished heart.

"You're lying!" my laughed echoed throughout the car and towards the outside as harsh whispers from other vehicles was heard.
"I'm not! My little cousin really took out her loose tooth in the second grade, so she could come home early!" he continued his story causing me to muffle my laughter in a blanket to stop the disruption of the other cars.
Charlie decided to pull a twist to the classic movie date by bringing me to a drive-in theater. Luckily, the devious boy hacked the radio in the car allowing us to drive around the lot and watch more flicks. The trunk of his car was open as he set down some sleeping bags and blankets in the backseat. He ordered a box of pizza along with some drinks making this night so much better.
"I'd love to meet her," I chuckled grabbing a water bottle.
"She'd love you. I feel like you guys would get along so well," he pulled a sly smile on me as I felt my cheeks start to burn.
"Stop doing that!" I hit him with a pillow jokingly.
"Stop doing what?" he continued with his devilish look.
"That weird smile thing! You probably do that with all your dates, don't you?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, so you think this is a date?" his smile widened making me sigh in aggravation.
Charlie was incredibly slick, and he knew it. It was quite surprising to hear that he didn't have a girlfriend or an array of women lining up to be with him. He was such a bold and flirty character, but I found myself enjoying his presence as time went on. Soon, the young Gray scooted closed towards me in the mists of conversation— he though I didn't notice, but it was heavily obvious with his smile peering from his face.
"How's the writing going?" he asked catching my attention from the movie.
"It's going," my words stained dry, "I have a ton of notes down already, but when I'm actually writing the chapters? It's like my motivation and my inspiration had just disappeared."
