"You know that place between awake and asleep; that place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always be loving you. That's where I'll be waiting."

"Could you believe it? It's actually gotten to the point where if I talk to him, we could lose our careers," my words sparse sitting back onto the chair, Maggie's hands brushing through my hair perfecting it.
"It just doesn't sound like him to do something like that, you know? Just talk to him— he'll understand." my ears were greeted from the crisp audio from my cellphone.
On the screen, Christina was trying to grab her purse before putting on a jacket to get some new furniture for her new apartment. Her short dark hair slipped behind her ear as she was focused on the mirror, but still trying to keep conversation.
"I haven't seen him in a year, so maybe that's just how he is now," I lost my false hope in remembrance of how easily we began strangers in that year.
"Don't say that, darling!" Maggie flicked the top of my forehead.
I hustled as Christina agreed with the older women and started talking about different ways I could reach out without the media knowing. I could see Maggie's head nodding from the camera as she was behind me trying to perfect some of the pieces she was trying to straighten out.
"Honestly, it's useless. Why should I keep chasing someone that doesn't want me in their life anymore?" my annoyance drilled my brain.
"It's not that he doesn't want to talk to you, sweetie, it's that he can't talk to you," Maggie's words lingered down my shoulders making a small breeze run down my back.
"Just don't think about the situation too much, Sienna— I know how easy it is for you overthink things," Christina smiled softly.
"Bye, C. I'll see you soon, okay?" I used the nickname I gave her when I lived in New York.
"Sooner than you think," she chuckled before hanging up the phone as I was left with nothing, but Maggie and my thoughts.
"She's not wrong— you overthink many things," Maggie's voice was stale, but with complete honestly making me groan.
My stubborn persona didn't want to admit that both of them were right. I tried not too focus to much on the blues eyes that kept on eating away at my thoughts. My hands were laced together fumbling with each other in eagerness from sitting in this chair too long. Maggie already finished with a neutral makeup look, but she was finishing the last strands of my hair.
It was my first interview in the states.
I felt a smile dawn upon my lips as fluttering excitement started to run down my body forgetting about my worries. My body was covered in a casual look with some black jeans and a yellow boxy top with some ankle boots.
Maggie gave me a small nod as she finished the strands of my hair trying to slick it behind my ear. Quickly, I shuffled some of my papers into my hands to put them into my handbag. It's been days since I last seen my journal, but I honestly just thought I left it in the car with Louis, so I wasn't that worried. Sadly, most of my recent thoughts were contained in a shaggy small notebook; only a couple pages were filled, but I was waiting until I could get my journal back.
