"And, don't tell me, I'll just fall out of love, because really, I don't want to. I want this terrible, heart aching, life changing kinda of love. I need that kind of love."

The crisp air shined a new light on the upcoming year that has solemnly approached. Here, we say goodbye to the pain of the years and the ignorance of the days trying to start a new year with clean start.
It's been a couple days since I've talked to Daniel. After the phone call, I quickly went home not wanting to cause any more trouble. I didn't sleep well that night. My body quivered with the fear of him getting in trouble and my thoughts were corrupted with the fowl curiosity. I still hadn't learned why their management needed to talk to him about me, but he did, and it kept a wedge between us ever since.
My phone rang seeing the contact as Louis while I trampled down the stairs not wanting to be late for my meeting. I had to head down to Williamson Publishing's LA headquarters to discuss details upon my new writing, and they wanted to speak to me about some quaint details.
"Hi Louis." my words quiet as his smile greeted me instead of his voice.
I fettled with my white button up shirt that was tucked into some black jeans. My outfit was fairly simple with a plain pair of black heels, but my red bag gave it a little color. The car ride was quick and faint— it didn't seem like Louis wanted to talk much today, and neither did I.
It felt so quaint that the boy could fill my thoughts for days after spending two days together. I guess he just had that sort of affect on everyone— or maybe, just me.
I didn't know how many text messages I've written, but quickly deleted in the past couple of days. I kept on staring at the keyboard trying to sort my thoughts together. I'm a writer— writing a simple text should be easy, but nothing is easy between Daniel and I, isn't it.
"Good luck today, Ms. Martin." Louis spoke with such uncertainty it made my back run cold.
"Everything okay at the industry?" my words trailed with confusion.
The old man looked skeptical, like he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell me. Slowly, he took off his black hat placing it on the seat next to him before looking at the mirror to scan my eyes. His breathe sniggered out a short sigh before rubbing his hands along his eyes a little in distress.
"I was walking around the building today before picking you up, and I walked by Nathaniel Gray— Natasha Gray's younger brother, and he did not sound pleased." Louis paused.
I smiled a little at the mention of Natasha's name. She was a big help in the publishing process back in London at their main corporation. She was an older women, probably in her early fifties, with a pale complexion and gray strands that were always put into curls. She told me her younger brother lead the networks down here in LA, so I wasn't too worried for my meetings.
"What was he saying?"
"He kept on yelling at the phone about something with bad publicity and the ranking of sales. It didn't sound good, dear." his words tightened with worry.
"I'll be fine, Louis. I've been in LA for less than a week. There's no way I could have bad publicity already," I reassured him looking out the window.
