C'mon, you can admit it. You are sick and tired of being sick and tired of the same pop music and ballads sung on every talent competition show. Singers on Got Talent, X Factor, American Idol, you name it, especially the younger ones, pick songs that I'm pretty sure we are all tired of hearing. Here are some examples:
1. "Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin
2. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
3. "Warrior" by Demi Lovato
4. "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion (love the song, but...)
And those are just a few examples. Why can't we sing more rock (look at Courtney Hadwin or Christina Ramos), like real rock, classic or heavy? I will no longer be rooting for or voting for singers who perform the predictable pop or ballad songs. I am quite tired of modern music, also, because music, in my opinion, was so much better and more real in the '70s and '80s. So if you are reading this and are thinking of performing as a singer on Got Talent or any other talent show, please take my words into consideration. I know this isn't a popular book on WP, but there's always the off-chance that someone might be reading this who may need a song suggestion that stands out from the usual modern crap. It doesn't have to be rock, either, just something not common on AGT. I'll give you some suggestions:
1. "Land Of Confusion" by Disturbed
2. "I Know There's Something Going On" by Frida
3. "99 Luftballons" by Nena
4. "Urgent" by Foreigner
5. "Killer Queen" by Queen
6. "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" by YES
