"yeah, i can be like a physical therapist or a trainer."

"then i wish you luck," he said, making you smile.

"you have a really beautiful smile," he said softly. "s-sorry i shouldn't have said that."

"no, it's okay. thank you."

it got kind of quiet after that, but you didn't want to stop talking to him. you felt some sort of connection with him, like you just clicked.

"so where are we going, this place seems pretty far," you said.

"yeah, the fans have figured out what places i like to hang out so i had to find new places farther away from my apartment. but it didn't really work out."

"i guess you'll just have no social life then." you chuckled.

"maybe. but i like meeting new people in ubers."

"like the old guys?" you asked laughing.

"i wasn't talking about the old guys." he blushed again and looked down, playing with his fingers.

"play me another song zach, i wanna hear one of your other genres."

he chuckled and went on his phone to find a song. a slower beat started playing.

"this one's called in too deep," he said. you nodded and listened to the song. you recognized zach's voice on the chorus again.

"you're really talented zach. how old are you?"

"seventeen."

"wow. you have an incredible voice."

"thank you."

"when did you start singing?"

"i've been singing my whole life. but i got serious about it when i started high school. i had a solo career where i mostly sang covers. i had two songs that i wrote myself, but they were just cheesy songs about my ex girlfriend, they aren't good."

"aw, are you a sentimental guy?" you asked. he laughed.

"i guess you could say that."

"can i hear one of them?" you asked.

"no, they're bad i promise you wouldn't wanna hear it."

"come on zach. please?" you stopped at the red light and looked at him, catching his eyes. they were sparkly under the moonlight. you didn't wanna look away, but the car behind you honked.

"okay, fine. this is called time lapse. and keep in mind that i was fifteen then and hadn't gone through puberty."

"okay." you chuckled. he played the song and you couldn't help but smile through the song.

"that was so cute, aww." you chuckled.

"stop." his cheeks were dark red.

"i like it, it was good for a fifteen year old."

"whatever. i think you should tell me something embarrassing about yourself since i just did that."

"what? that wasn't embarrassing."

"yes it was." he laughed.

"i don't know any embarrassing stories off the top of my head," you told him.

"just think of something, it doesn't matter what."

"umm, well this isn't really a story but it's pretty embarrassing."

"okay what's that?"

"i don't really have any friends." you chuckled.

"what?"

"i go to school, i work, i do homework, i sleep." you shrugged.

"what about like friends from before college?"

"i'm not from here so we don't get to hang out and we don't talk much."

"you didn't make friends in your classes?"

"i'm not very good at making friends. people don't like me."

"that's not true. you talked to me with no problem, and i like you a lot. you're pretty cool." you chuckled and shook my head.

"i don't know, it doesn't bother me."

"it's gotta be kinda lonely though."

"i guess." you shrugged. you turned into the parking lot of an apartment complex.

"there you go," you said putting the car in park. he didn't move. "you gonna get out?"

"yeah, i'm just thinking about something."

"alright, take your time." you chuckled. you grabbed your phone and saw your annoying roommate asking you to pick up food on your way home. you rolled your eyes and put your phone back down.

"okay, so this was a lot of fun, right?" he asked.

"um, yeah actually. more fun than i've had in a while." you smiled.

"good...sorry i'm kinda nervous...can i get your number? maybe we could hang out again?" he asked. his cheeks were so red, you couldn't help but smile at how cute it was.

"what about your fans? won't they go crazy?"

"we'll figure something out," he said. "if that's a yes."

"it is." you nodded and he smiled widely, handing you his phone. you gave him your number then handed his phone back.

"great. i'll call you tomorrow. and thanks for the ride."

"anytime zach." you smiled as he got out of the car. you watched him go inside, then pulled out of the parking lot and drove home thinking about zach.

little did you know that you would end up falling in love with the guy who has millions of fans chasing after him. and luckily he'd fall  in love with you too.
