She grabbed his arm and pulled up his sleeve so she could write words on it with her finger.

"I will be fine. I should probably bandage it though."

Percy nodded and helped him up before walking out of the room.

"Who was that Kaldur?" I looked up at him.

He just shook his head and followed after his younger version.

The two of us stood in the doorway as Percy tended to Kaldur. Cuts and slashes littered his torso...along with scars.

"You need to tell your mother." He kicked his feet.

Percy raised an eyebrow causing the young boy to sigh.

"I know, you do not want him to hurt her. But...I do not want him to hurt you. You are my friend Percy."

She pressed an alcohol soaked rag to a slash, causing the young Kaldur to hiss in pain.

"I know you did that on purpose."

Percy grinned before going back to tending to him.

Young Kaldur pulled her up onto the bed next to him. "If you don't want to tell her, I will not either." He extended a pinky. "I may not be strong, but...I promise I will always protect you. No matter who it's from. I promise."

Percy seemed conflicted but eventually she wrapped her pinky around his.

Kaldur closed the door and leaned against it, letting out a sigh. "Now you know."

"You...you two were abused?" I stared at him.

"Percy was. I would put myself in front of her so I could protect her."

"Does Aquaman know?" I asked.

Kaldur shook his head. "When we were about to leave and my king asked how Percy knew sign language, I asked her if we could tell him. She gave me the same answer she has been giving me since...well, I ask every year. My king wants to talk to her today so I suppose the truth is finally coming out."

I hugged him. No wonder he's been acting weird. He just wants to protect her.

But...

"Why were you getting sick and...why aren't we underwater?"

"Percy...was raised on land like my king. We were together as often as possible. My king rented an apartment nearby so I was not in Shayeris as much as I normally would have been."

"And the sickness?"

"I swore to keep her safe and I didn't. Guilt is powerful Megan. It is strong enough to destroy you." He sighed. "Do not tell anyone about this."

"Kaldur, the Team won't care that-"

"Percy will. She will be upset enough that you are in here."

"This is part of your past too." I crossed my arms.

"She is of a higher rank than me and is held in much higher standing by my king. He thinks of her as his daughter. What she wants is much more important than what I want."

I sighed and drew us out of Percy's mind.

Kaldur released my hand and lifted the now unconscious Percy.

"Where are you going?" Connor growled as Kaldur walked towards the Zeta Tubes.

"I think it is a good idea for the two of us to head home to Atlantis. Percy's father wished for her to return after she woke up."

Their designations were called out and they disappeared.

"Megan, what did you see?" Robin turned to look at me.

"He asked me not to tell you." I said, standing up.

"Well if she was controlling-"

"He wasn't being controlled." I stared at Wally.

"Listen, if she's actually controlling him, don't you think she might be able to do some weird stuff with his memories?" Artemis asked.

True...I don't remember seeing scars on him...not like those.

And the amount of damage it takes to injure him...

I don't know what to think.

"Well, if Atlantis wasn't at the bottom of the ocean, I'd say we go say hi." Wally sighed.

Robin grinned. "I believe I may have a solution to that."

Welp. This is crap
