show off your scars
but don't let them bleed.
for you are a strong soul
who got past the worse in your life.
paint others
the color of happiness
love them
more than anyone else ever will.
encourage them to show off how strong they are
because they conquered the worse in their life.
be a sunflower
and spread
love;
happiness;
positivity;
because you know
how messed up the world is
when no one is with you
but against you.
when they judge the color of yellow
you use to paint your skin
the stain of happiness.
when you show off your scars
to show the world how strong you are,
they assume it's for attention.
when you know you've gotten past the worse
in your life
and want to show everyone how strong you are,
they break you down.
stand tall like a sunflower.
