(3) Puberty Strikes

-4 years later- 

A few weeks after their 11th birthday they both got the birds and the bees talk with their parents separately. A few months later Bucky was riding his dirt bike around his back yard and she came over with hers and he stopped and said "What are you doing?' but his voice cracked. 

She said 'Are you sick? I don't want to race if you are sick." 

"No I'm not sick.." he said "Your voice will start to squeak and crack that means your voice is starting to change" he heard in his mind. 

He swallowed hard and he said "Just race.. I"m not sick." 

She got on her bike and she said "What is wrong with you?' 

"It's nothing." he said 

They raced to his grandpa's house and about an hour and half later she stopped and sat down as she started to cramp. "Are you forfeiting" he said in a low tone. 

"Just shut up! NO My stomach hurts." she said as she took off her moto cross suit and he said did you get hurt something you are bleeding." 

"oh god." she said as she got on her bike and raced home. He wasn't to far behind her. She ran into her house and she "Mama I'm dying." 

"Baby you are not dying." Sadie 

"Mama look I'm dying.." she said as she pointed to the blood. 

"Baby we talked about this. Go upstairs and take a hot shower I put the stuff underneath your bathroom sink." as she took her motocross suit to wash. That night they had everyone over for a cookout. 

Bucky and the rest of their siblings were in their pool but she didn't get in the pool. "What's the matter still think you are dying and can't swim" Bucky said in a low tone.

"Just shut up.." she said 

"So mean today what's your problem? " he said 

"My problem my problem is you bothering me right now." she said 

"Why don't you want to swim." he said 

"Cause I can't.." she said 

"Why not scared I will beat you again." he said 

"I swear to God James if you don't get out of my face I will punch you in the balls." she said 

His mouth dropped open and said "You are being very hateful what the heck is your problem" 

She stood up and pushed him into the pool. "Brynlee.." Sadie said 

"He wouldn't stop bothering me I don't feel good my stomach hurts and I just want to be left alone." she said as she went inside. 

Bryce said "I've never seen her this angry.." 

Sadie closed her eyes and said "I forgot to mention.. Brynlee got her first period today that could explain her mood today." 

"Are you serious" Winnie said

"Yeah why?' she said

"Watch this.." James said 

"Hey little James." James said 

"Yeah dad.." he said as his voice cracked. 

Bryce said "Oh my god.."

"Bryce please don't make fun of me.." Bucky said 

"I wasn't I've been there.. I said that cause of you and Brynlee you two are the only two that have done this.." Bryce said

"Done what?' he said confused 

"Puberty together... none of your siblings or hers started at the same time." James said 

Brady started laughing and said "You two I swear you two are so competitive that your own bodies are like that." 

"Shut up Brady.." Bucky said 

"She's not dying.." Bucky said to Sadie..

"Nope I"m sure your dad told you what the girl has to go threw the blood she had earlier is her starting her first period and it's going to make her moody." Sadie said

"Oh yea.. dad did tell me all that." he said 

A few days they both were in a motocross race and Bucky beat her and she came in 2nd place. She started to cry and he said "Brynlee geez don't start this you are being a baby." 

She pushed him down and he said "Brynlee.." 

"You win every motocross race we have. " she yelled at him

"Brynlee" Bryce said 

"Sell my bike dad I don't want to ride anymore." she said through tears. 

Then school started a month later and she took up volleyball over basketball in the last two years. She was playing a game it was her time of the month and she jumped up and hit the ball and then she fell flat and 'Ow." she said as she was slowly getting breasts. She rolled on top her back and she let out a breathe. 

"What is wrong with her?' Bucky said to his mom

A girl on her team helped her up and Winnie said "I don't know." 

After the game was over Sadie said "Baby what happened out there.." 

"I'm on my period mom and I've got these stupid things growing and it hurt to land on them" she said 

"oh.. okay' Sadie said 

"Man puberty is really causing you to look bad." Bucky said 

"Shut up." She said 

"Make me shut up.."  he said 

She pushed him and he started to push her back. "You two.." Sadie 

"Let's see you land flat and see you feel afterwards." she said 

"I better I could do better than you." he said 

She walked over and got a volleyball and smacked over the net and he jumped up and smacked it over and they went for an hour till she fell again. "See told you I could do better than you." he said 

She threw the ball and it hit him in the back of the head. He tackled her down to the floor and then they started to wrestle each other and she felt her dad pull her off of him. "You two this stops now.. you two are to old to put tackling each other like this especially now more than ever. Look at you two bloody noses black eyes and busted lips. This has got to stop this has been going on far to long." Bryce said 

They both looked down. 

"Let's go home.." Sadie said 

Everyone followed out to the cars.
