4th chapter

Greyson has been secretly meeting Danielle for six months  now. Somehow, they seem like they just couldn’t get enough of each other. Like they didn’t want to part every time the clock strikes ten.

Charlotte is happy for Danielle, even though she is jealous, because Danielle never brings Charlotte along on her date, to meet Greyson Chance. Still, she was happy for her friend.

Danielle met Greyson almost every week. Not that they are boyfriends and girlfriends, just that they meet, as friends. But Greyson hopes for relationship more than just friends.

Greyson felt like there was something different in Danielle that he doesn’t see in other girls. Not that she is more beautiful or anything, it’s just that her attitude, her smile, and the way she understands him. Greyson sometimes tell her about his problems and they would solve it together. Greyson felt like Danielle was the perfect one for him. And he thought that Danielle felt the same way that he felt towards her.

That night, Greyson and Danielle had a date in the fields, a little picnic, but at night. Greyson arrives early, as usual, to set up the table, or in this case, they were eating on the grounds. Greyson has something planned for Danielle, and he think about it over and over as he put the red-and-white checked table cloth on the ground.

Danielle wore a light black dress and a cardigan. She arrived at the fields about ten minutes late. Searching for Greyson there wasn’t hard. How many boys hang out in the fields, wearing a white shirt and black jeans?

Greyson waved to her, and she waved back.

“can I ask why are we meeting in the fields? I feel uncomfortable sitting next to ants and dirt.”

“No we are not. There’s no ant here, and you’re not sitting on dirt, you’re sitting on my expensive red-and-white checkered tablecloth.” Greyson laughed.

“oh its expensive alright.”

They talked and ate; Greyson has packed a picnic feast for them, sandwiches, chicken and chocolate cakes. He bought a bottle of expensive red wine, considering that they both are 18 above; he planned on drinking that later.

After eating they lay on the grass, which was Greyson's idea, and even thought Danielle hate sitting on dirt, she lay down next to Greyson.

They sat there, staring at the stars. They didn’t say anything for about ten minutes. Just lay there, staring at the night sky.

“Danielle?”

“yeah.”

“do you like me?”

“what?”

“I mean, do you like me, as in, am I a good friend or what?”

 “You are, a good friend.”

Greyson smiled. “Danielle?”

“yes Greyson?”

“can I ask you something?”

“yeah sure.”

“will you be my twitter password?”

“wha-?”

Greyson turned his body to face Danielle. “will you, be, my girlfriend?”

Danielle, stunned by the question, said nothing. She just stared into Greyson’s eyes.

“I, I can’t.”

They were both silence for a few minutes.

“why?”
